Lesedi Lodge is located in Sondela Nature Reserve in the Limpopo Province, which is just outside the town of Bela Bela. The lodge is approximately 90 min from Johannesburg international airport.
This unit can accommodate up to 8 guests and comprises of 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a loft area. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed and en-suite bathroom with double basin, corner bath, and shower. There is an outside shower leading out from this bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed. the Third bedroom has 2 single beds. The second and third bedrooms share a bathroom between them, comprises a double basin, shower and toilet.
The open-plan loft area is equipped with a double bed, 2 sleeper couches, chairs, and tables, a built-in cupboard and a private bathroom with a bath, toilet and a wash basin. Leading out from the loft area is a wooden deck area with a table and 2 chairs, overlooking the boma area and drinking hole.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, fridge, pots, cutlery and crockery. There is a separate washing up area with a dishwasher and front loader washing machine. The lounge comprises 3 2-seater couches and a flat-screen TV with a limited DStv bouquet and a DVD player. There are games, puzzles and reading material in the cupboard. The outside entertainment area is a veranda with a 8-seater table, a 2-seater couch, coffee table, and a built-in braai. The verandah can be fully closed with canvas blinds.
There is a battery system and an inverter for loa shedding. The stove/oven is not connected to the battery and can't be used during load shedding.
There is also a boma area, with 10 chairs around a fire pit. All rooms include linen and towels, but guests must bring their own swimming towels.
Sondela nature reserve offers a variety of wildlife interaction, nature walks, MTB trails. Activities include game drives, horse rides, 4x4, swimming pools, tennis court, spa, and wildlife rehabilitation centre visits.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the lodge and will definitely return for another visit.
We had a lovely, peaceful weekend. The house is beautiful and well equipped, and we saw many goats in nature that come to drink water. I would definitely recommend it and use it again myself.

Heavenly! The silence, privacy, amenities. The loft with pool table for the teenagers was an unexpected plus. Wish we could stay longer.

The owner is very friendly and helpful. The house is well equipped, clean and tidy. Bathrooms are comfortable and the outdoor shower with hot water is a plus. Guests need not go further than the porch to view wildlife that comes and goes almost all day.
A very beautiful and peaceful place.
Lovely place to stay, interaction with the animals is incredible, and for the most it is very quiet. Geyser setting was set a bid low, water not that warm to shower in, no other means to warm the place. Maybe due to load shedding.
The lodge is clean, comfortable and in very good condition. Owner is very friendly and everything was perfectly arranged. We will definitely go again.
Lesedi Lodge is an absolute dream house that is excellently equipped and spotlessly clean. All the rooms are nice and spacious, with a delicious braai area and a stoep to view all the animals and birds that come to visit the watering hole every day. It was an incredible experience. Soaring eagles and twinkling stars can be seen so clearly at this peaceful oasis. Thank you very much for the use of your beautiful place Heloise, we will definitely recommend it to many people.
Really enjoyed the break and the accommodation was great. You can feel that there is life in the lodge. The environment is very peaceful and we didn't need to drive around to see animals. The animals visited us daily. The stoep is a winner even if the weather is not always nice. We will do it again.
The lodge has everything one could need for a bush getaway. Even a potty. Rooms and kitchen are spacious with a sheltered patio (with braai) and then a cosy boma. If you have teenagers, there is a full, furnished loft just for them. Everything you want if you just want to get away from the city's madness. If you love animals, they will come and visit you on the veranda.

We had a great stay at Lesedi Lodge. The lodge is nice and spacious and has everything you need. The children really enjoyed the extra board games. The animals that came to the watering hole daily were quite amazing and very special. Thank you to Heloise and her husband for the opportunity to use their place, you have an awesome place and we will definitely visit again in the future. Sondela remains a nice bushveld experience for the whole family!
It's the perfect getaway if you want to spoil your family. Very luxurious and modern.
