After a long, hot journey, it was an absolute pleasure to stay at Libby's Lodge. The host is a wonderful and gave us a warm welcome. The units are well equipped, and the beds are superbly comfortable with high-quality linen. We stayed there twice in a month and had a fantastic night's sleep each time. I would have no hesitation staying there again and will certainly recommend to friends and family who may be passing through Upington. The lodge is also well placed, being minutes from the main road, yet the setting is tranquil and welcoming. The gardens are a joy to sit in and enjoy the cool of the evening. What a wonderful place and a wonderful experience. The host is so friendly and helpful. We slept over for the night and each unit has an aircon, so the heat does not bother you. We enjoyed the big pool and had breakfast the next morning. Will stay here again.

We had a great stay at Libby's Lodge. It's a spacious unit and is cleaned daily. The wifi works during load shedding which is a bonus. The bathroom door makes a lot of noise, the shower door doesn't close tightly, so the floor is wet and the towels stay damp in the winter, so would like clean and dry towels. Otherwise, it was a lovely 4 days.
I got sick and the hostess was so helpful with directions to hospital etc. Would definitely recommend Libby's.
On the way to Kgalagadi when we stayed here for the first time and on the way back we stayed here for 2 extra days. With such a welcome and nice garden and pool, it's an absolute piece of heaven. And look, I'm a difficult one, but if you open a drawer and there's a pair of scissors and there's a teapot in the cupboard, now I'm a happy mum who can sort out my son's tea. Breakfast is a winner over. Heartfelt people who go the extra mile for you to help out in need too. You can support Libby's Lodge.

We were received very kindly and settled into a nice, spacious, well-equipped family apartment. Everything was very neat and well organized. A page with Load shedding times for the period we would be there was provided as well as ample emergency lights. Children could also have fun in the pool. Will definitely recommend them.

Overall good stay. Big shortcoming is that there was no table and chairs to eat at in our self-catering unit. Nor bar stools. When I asked I was shown to a fixed table at another unit about 20 meters away.
Love the location and the service from the staff but other than that it was the total opposite of what was expected. No house rules on page but when we got there it was the opposite. The pool was too deep for us even as adults to use. Misleading advertising. I will definitely not be staying there again.

Libby's actually consists of several "cottages" on one lot and not just the two advertised in the photos, in front of the pool. We had a great time, the cottages are nice and clean, have a lot of space and equipped with everything you need to make your visit comfortable. Air conditioning and all. Even the braai facilities are private, opposite each of the cottages. Your car is behind locked gates near your cottage. We would have liked to know that housekeeping was coming so we could be ready, but appreciate it nonetheless. We will definitely book again.
Everything is really on an above average standard, the breakfast was also delicious, but maybe a little expensive for what you get. Will stay there again.

We were upgraded to a self-catering unit. Plekkie was very neatly and comfortably furnished. Very thoughtfully, a note was left for us with planned loadshedding times and there were oil lamps and matches as well. Bonus was a mug of fresh milk for our coffee and tea in the fridge! Secure parking at the room. We would definitely recommend them!

We stayed at Libby's Lodge on our way to Kgalagadi. It was lovely to arrive at a neat, clean place in a beautiful green garden after a whole day's driving. Since it was 42 degrees we immediately made use of the lovely pool! We felt so at home and welcome. The owners even gave us some of their coals to barbecue with! Very nice place with a nice big swimming pool! Only one problem, when you have the water cooler on it makes a terrible noise in the master bedroom. If you put it down, the other guy in the living room dies of warmth. Replace with aircons please. .

Libby's Lodge is a very nice family guesthouse. We were comfortable, very friendly staff, and we were met in a good and friendly manner. The rooms are clean and convenient. The only thing that bothered us a bit was that breakfast was very expensive for what you got. At the other guesthouses we've stayed at, the breakfast was half as expensive with more variety to choose from.

Libby's Lodge was very pleasant for us 8 years ago. And now, in 2016, the quality of the accommodation has not diminished. The hostess is friendly and helpful, the rooms are as clean as my own house, there are towel rails in the rooms! (Yes - the only accommodation that thinks about it). None of the other 4 places we stayed have towel rails. The accommodation is tastefully furnished, and everything we needed for self-catering was available. We were able to park our car next to our room and keep the refrigerator running in the car with an extension cord. There was no need to take the bulky fridge out of the car. For me, the wonderful magazines about Namibia were irresistible. Oh yes, the price for overnight is very reasonable! I would stay there again ANYTIME and recommend it to ANYONE. It's a real oasis!

I count on doing my business after hours at the guest house through the WiFi. The WiFi reception was not available, not even at the "hotspot". So with great frustration I didn't do any computer work, which I therefore lost with the day's travel. They do say WiFi on the information of the guest house, but there is no WiFi! Poor guest house for business visitors who want to work on a computer!

We really enjoyed our visit to Upington and Libby's Lodge. Libby's Lodge can be recommended to other tourists with great confidence. Upington is a neat town and definitely worth a visit. Don't miss the beautiful statues of the donkey and the camel. Alas, the museum is a disappointment.

We were on our way to Kalagadi Game Reserve, from Cape Town. Tired of driving, we got there late in the afternoon. She gave the keys, explained how the air conditioner works and immediately gave us our privacy which I really appreciated because I was sick and tired from all the hours in the car. The "house" had its own braai area and a nice veranda which unfortunately we didn't have time to use. Inside, service rooms were nice and spacious. We left at 4 o'clock the next morning without any problems with gates and keys. Really value for money.
The accommodation is very good, especially the high quality bed and bedding. The breakfast is very tasty and good value for money. Even when we were the only guests, the service was top quality.
They went the extra mile by collecting dinner for us while our vehicle was out of action. Much appreciated!
