91 guests' feedbackWonderful stay. Kids loved playing in the river all day, catching tadpoles and racing boats. Centrally located to all the Panorama Route highlights, but the kids didn't want to leave the river.
The stay was everything we expected and more. Charl was very helpful. It was a nice cold weekend and Charl arranged a gas heater for us which helped a lot.
We had a wonderful time. The place was exceptional with Charl being so helpful and knowledgeable. The presence of the three cute dogs adds a homely atmosphere, and the beautiful surroundings make for a relaxing stay. It was the perfect destination for people who appreciate a bit of tranquility.
An amazing quiet and lovely setting, enjoyed our brief stay very much.
Quiet, beautiful surroundings. Everything one needs is there. The host is very helpful. Beds are comfortable and 3 dogs are very friendly.
We had a great stay at Log Cabins @ Lisbon Eco Lodge. Uncle, the host, was very friendly and the atmosphere was so pleasant. The house was immaculately clean. There are also cute puppies on the farm and beautiful sheep. Definitely worth a visit, especially with the Lisbon Falls being about a 1km walk from the lodge itself.
Had a great time on the farm.
We had the most wonderful weekend at Lisbon Eco Lodge. Charl and all his furry friends were incredible and made our stay feel like home away from home. Our cabin was stunning and the views are just breathtaking. The location of the lodge is perfect for a breakaway nestled and surrounded by nature. We can't wait to return again soon.
I had a lovely stay. Charl was amazing. His dogs are amazing too and very friendly. I got the peace I needed away from it all. Talk about value for money. It's just too magnificent.
Peaceful and quiet, great to be near a river, close to town and a great host. Charl is very knowledgeable for information on the area and the historical nature of the area.
Beautiful surroundings, friendly host and dogs. We had a fabulous stay, so relaxing being near the river and so central for local sites.
My wife and I stayed at Lisbon Eco Lodge for 6 days. What a wonderful experience! It is the most stunning atmosphere and view you could ever wish for. Right next to the Lisbon river, tranquil, quiet and peaceful! The wooden cabins/chalets are spacious and very well equipped. The lodge is central to all sites and places of interest. The owner/host made our stay super enjoyable and we left as friends. There are 3 chalets and a fourth brick and stone dwelling ("Moffat house"). We will book this one next time just for another experience. We will be going back in winter to enjoy the lovely fireplace in Moffat House. We won't ever stay anywhere else when we visit this area in future.
Really enjoyed the location out of town and close to the river and in nature. The dogs were welcoming, warm, and protective, which made it feel homely. Close to Lisbon Falls and God's Window viewpoints. Charl was very hospitable and on the ball with our arrival and opening. He was very helpful with what to see and do in the area and made sure we were taken care of and looked after. The cabin is well-equipped and cosy. The bed is very comfortable. A very good and comfortable stay. Thank you very much.
Very nice stay. Beautiful nature, close to beautiful waterfalls, wonderful walks, host very friendly.
Well located near Graskop. Only 3 cabins which makes the location very private. Great view and very tranquil. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Loved the dog visits during our stay.
Our stay was really nice. Charl is a great host and he was super hospitable. But I think the stars of the place are Eva the shepherd dog and the little fox terrier. I really haven't 'met' such cute dogs. It really is a little paradise, I recommend the place 100%.
The peaceful accommodation by the river is the ideal break and relax after a busy day. Very hospitable host and dog children. We had a great time relaxing!
It is really a beautiful setting. I couldn't say anything negative about the place other than the beds were uncomfortable and they didn't use white bedding. Other than that, the place is stunning with amazing views and friendly staff. They even had two lovely friendly dogs that kept my little one company.
We had a great stay and felt very welcome from day 1.
Was great and quiet. Nothing more.
Great place, peaceful and tranquil. Very friendly host.
The ladies don't clean over weekends, except as a favour to the guests, which is weird because most people travel on weekends and holidays. They also didn't have extra blankets even though they knew how cold it would be. The heater ran out of gas and we had to call for help at night, only for the guys to switch off the heater to the stove so we couldn't heat our hot water bottles or make coffee. There are spider webs behind the bathroom door and on the cupboards. Although the host, Charl, is friendly and offers great customer service, some things should be standard and not only if requested. It really is such a beautiful place with fantastic views, perfectly located close enough to all the activities we wanted to do, but they really can make the stay more comfortable.
The wooden chalets were impressive.
Wonderfully welcoming host and environment, very central.
Barend and I really enjoyed the few days and the tranquility enchanted us tiredly. Charl, we'll see you in 3 months!
We had a great time. Charl is an excellent host and went out of his way to make our stay memorable. Will definitely stay there again.
Breathtaking location with everything you need for a great day out, as well as a beautiful river accessible just a few meters from your porch.
The cabins are very comfortable and neat.
The owner, Charl, was most helpful and we enjoyed his two dogs who were so friendly.
Great place, loved every minute of our stay. Luckily wasn't very cold yet, so could stay outdoors for a bit.
Charl, the host was super friendly and accommodating. I stayed over for a couple of days with students sampling the rivers in the area! I love being in nature. Wonderful experience. I loved the dogs. It was perfect for our stay as it would be for a small group of people. A gem!
See stars.
Ideally located to reach several other tourism destinations in a short time.
Had a great time!
We were made to feel at home. Beautiful location.
Beautiful setting. Friendly staff and well priced.
Our stay was very pleasant.
Charl was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend the place.
Charl is very friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend!
The owner goes out of his way to make it pleasant for you and is very helpful. One feels at home and part of their family.
Lovely stay in the neat units. Cool dog-kids also dropped by from time to time.
I recently had an exceptional experience at Lisbon Eco Lodge. The cleanliness and attention to detail were outstanding. The staff demonstrated top-notch professionalism and courtesy throughout my stay. The amenities provided, combined with the cosy ambiance, contributed to a memorable and enjoyable visit. I highly recommend Lisbon Eco Lodge for a professionally managed and delightful lodge stay.
The solar system works very well. We had power all the time. The surroundings are peaceful and picturesque. I would definitely recommend it for a getaway.
The Lisbon Eco Lodge is a our recommendation to anybody looking for a stay in the area. Kids can swim or play in the river. Very friendly and helpful host. Clean and beautiful area. Special treat is the historic value - gold mining era - and artifacts at the lodge.
Amazing location by the river and Charl the host is very helpful - nothing is too much trouble! Will definitely go again!
Would not mind to book the place again. Had a marvellous time.
We had a great stay at Lisbon Eco Lodge, and Charl went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. The kids really enjoyed the river, sheep and dogs, and it's perfectly located for exploring the area.
The owner made us feel very welcome and asked every day if we needed anything, he is very friendly and pleasant, makes you feel like you are part of his place. Had a great time, and it was private and away from the hustle and bustle.
The accommodation was just what we were looking for ─ a peaceful and secluded place, but still central to enjoy all the activities in the area.
Lisbon Hideaway was everything and more than we expected. It is incredibly relaxing and quiet.
Will visit again anytime.
Very nice. Will definitely go back again, and if I do go I will take my bike. A lot of place for riding a bike.
We had a quiet and peaceful stay and were given a really warm welcome. We stayed in the beautiful Moffat House, which dates back to the 1800's and has been tastefully refurbished. A really good choice when visiting in the Graskop area. Thank you.
The environment is very beautiful and green. A lot of foreign tourists. Environment clean. Beautiful accommodation. Scenic.
Located close to all the major landmarks in the area, peaceful and very beautiful.
Wonderful location. Fantastic service with very friendly reception.
The location, the chalets, the surrounding area - amazing. I have already referred this place to friends. We were impressed by the size of the chalets and the cleanliness and service.
Close to Graskop and the Lisbon waterfalls, very nice wooden houses, beautifully maintained, very good service, fantastic view!
Our time at Lisbon was pleasant. Service excellent. House was neat, clean and well equipped. Everything works! It really looks like the photos. Fantastic value for money!
Very neat and convenient facilities. Very friendly and helpful service. Very nice getaway.
Lisbon Hideaway is well located to get to attractions in the area. Comfortable accommodation with sounds of the water of the Lisbon river makes for a relaxing stay. The manager goes out of her way to make visitors feel comfortable.
Lisbon Hideaway is a stunning, neat place for a family getaway.
The accommodation was perfectly located, quiet, clean and we felt like we were totally alone there. Everything was perfect and we couldn't ask for more. Nice to sit by the river and relax. We were kindly received and treated and they went out of their way to make our wedding anniversary and my wife's birthday special. A bottle of champagne awaited us. Thank you so much Phillicity! For sure we will go back!
Beautiful, neat, spotless homes in a gorgeous location. Peaceful atmosphere. Phillicty went out of her way to make us feel welcome and treat us. Will recommend it to anyone and hope to go there again myself.
Accommodation was very good mate would have been great if they had shower facilities. Most people prefer a shower to a bath. Even an open air shower would be acceptable.
Warm reception at Lisbon Hideaway. The huts area quite spacious and there is a huge lawn. The river provides hours of fun and the whisper of the river is fantastic. Lisbon Hideaway is easy to find and close to everything you want to see in the area.

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of today's life, I can recommend Lisbon Hideaway. It is a calm, peaceful place with the most beautiful river flowing nearby. The only sounds you hear are the bubbling of the water, the birds and the frogs. It restores your soul. The living facilities were nice and clean and one has all the necessities you will need. The owner was friendly and very helpful. The place is centrally located and it is easy to visit all the natural wonders nearby. I will definitely go back to Lisbon Hideaway again.
It's a brilliant weekend spot for two people who are in love and love hanging out with each other!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lisbon Hideaway, we loved hanging out by the beautiful river. The view from the chalet is wonderful, saw various birds of prey and were so lucky to spot a serval. It's peaceful at Lisbon Hideaway. We went out everyday sightseeing, there are so many waterfalls nearby, as well as God's Window, Three Rondavels etc. to name but a few. Had an awesome breakfast at Harrie's Pancakes in Graskop. We will definitely return as we did not get to see everything. Best holiday ever!
The babbling brook lulls one to sleep at night. Early in the morning we sat on the porch and enjoyed the sunrise. I can't wait to visit again!
Very neat house fully equipped, all that was missing was perhaps a TV with satellite. Really enjoyed it, it's so nice and clean and we love the big lawn, my 2 year old really enjoyed it!
Quiet place for lazy relaxation.
It was an incredible weekend, everything so neat and clean. It really is a hideaway and very peaceful. We will definitely see Lisbon Hideaway again, this time only for much longer. The hospitality is so great, you feel right at home. We could have visited many places in a day because Lisbon Hideaway is so well located.
It was breathtaking! Beautiful scenery and very peaceful! The service was fantastic and it's very safe, the river is any child's dream and we had a blast there! Lisbon Hideaway deserves a million stars and so do the owners! Can't wait to see them again soon!
A calm, peaceful atmosphere away from the city's noise greets you when you check in at Lisbon Hideaway. The place is neat and clean and the owners are very friendly. Was so much fun we didn't want to leave. Will definitely go back again. Recommend Lisbon Hideaway to anyone who wants to get away from the busy city life and want to relax.
This is a superb self catering unit to use as base to explore the escarpment.
The house is beautiful and clean with most items one needs.
See the stars below.
For 'birders' this is the right place. It is spacious and very well equipped, and has wonderful bird life on your doorstep.
Fantastic accommodation in beautiful surroundings, and so close to many marvelous places. Loved it.
Good friendly and helpful service. Thank you so much Phillicity for making us feel so welcome. Have a great time and relax.
Thank you, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect.
Handy place to stay at, as it's close to Graskop and all the sites of interest in the area, including Pilgrim's Rest with the stunning Lisbon Falls close by.
We had a great time and although everything is very clean and tidy, I still feel that the decor and especially the bed and bedding could be updated a bit, it's a bit old-fashioned.
Hospitable and nicely furnished.
It is easy to get to, and there are many attractions. We would be happy to recommend Lisbon Hideaway to friends and family.
Good value for money. Clean, conveniently located, very well equipped, wonderfully quiet and peaceful, very beautiful surroundings.
Exceptional value for money, excellent customer service, chalets are very clean, a real hideaway and safety is guaranteed. We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Lisbon. Thank you!
Lisbon Hideaway was clean and very comfortably furnished. The lawn and river provided hours of fun for the children, while my husband and I could sit back and watch. We felt safe and peaceful every moment of the day. The kitchen is very comfortably furnished and you sleep like a dream!
Everything was perfect and nice. We were happy with the environment except the drive in - I think it would be better if the road could be paved. Also, the couches were dirty. Otherwise, perfect.
