Little Haven is by far the most comfortable, best equipped self-catering unit I have come across so far in all these years. The owners are very friendly and helpful and the unit has an endless list of extras that are often lacking in other self-catering units that are advertised at much more expensive rates. This unit can serve as an example and example for other self-catering owners. This is definitely becoming one of my most favorite accommodation options!

Great hostess, cleverly laid out accommodation which makes it so convenient for guests. Lovely braai facilities, a peaceful private garden to sit and have a sundowner. Comfortable bed with luxurious linen. I would recommend this any day with peace of mind that no one will be disappointed! Great value for money and safe parking.
Lovely, safe, tidy and clean overnight stay. Beautiful detail and excellent facilities. Air conditioning for the summer is a further bonus. The only negative is that there is no TV, but the excellent WiFi makes it possible for "streaming". Will definitely stay there again and can recommend Little Haven.

Loved this venue for our overnight stay. Little Haven is very comfortable, it has a lovely big bedroom with ample space and a separate bathroom and lounge area. There is a fridge and a microwave, as well as coffee and tea facilities. There is place at a little table in the lounge area for you to enjoy a meal or a cup of coffee/tea. The bedding is crisp and clean and the towels are big, fluffy and soft. There is ample hot water for a lovely shower after a long day on the road. Very clean and well maintained. There is secure parking with ample space for a trailer.
Spotlessly clean accommodation with a comfy bed for a good night's rest and lounge area for self catering/heating, coffee/tea provided and fridge. Totally off the grid, not affected by loadshedding - the ceiling fan was great to cool down the room.

Wow, what a beautiful place. It is very spacious with air conditioning and roof fan. No power cuts, clean, tidy. No effort spared, we stayed and slept well and will definitely use them again.

"Self-catering" is very misleading. No utensils, no kitchen, only small microwave and bar fridge. Not even a deep freeze partition nor a sink to wash dishes. Thanks to our host for putting our food in her deep freeze.

Lorette called us in advance to confirm that she would be available whenever we checked in, and wished us a safe trip. Upon arrival, we were very kindly received and shown the apartment, whereupon we packed up and she offered that we may even use some of her braai wood. The apartment is well equipped with a firm bed and everything needed for an overnight stay.
Little Haven was easy to reach and Loretta gave us a friendly welcome. There was also no power cut as the guest house is equipped for "load shedding". Accommodation was spacious and tidy.
I can recommend Little Haven for overnight stays or even for tourists who want to stay at Gariep Dam for a few days. Everything was as per website and Loretta is an excellent hostess. Little Haven was neat and clean and I could sleep wonderfully. Coffee with biscuits was delicious the next morning and also the extra Chai tea.

Of the hundreds of strange beds we've slept in during our travels, this one ranks among the top 5 best! Incredibly clean and tidy, and peaceful, private accommodation. We would definitely stay here again and can recommend it to tired travelers who just want to relax and rest from the long road. The rooms are well laid out and have all the necessary details.
We arrived late and the lady assisted us by preparing a meal for our 6 year old daughter with no extra effort. She made us feel at home and the place is amazing. Beautiful and clean. We felt right at home. The owner did more than expected and the hospitality was great. Its worth it, and I will recommend it anytime.

Mrs Thomas made us feel like family. We really enjoyed our time there. Basic and cozy but functional and tastefully done. She even put the warm blankets on for us ahead of time, so we slept nice and cozy. The unit, garden and premises are neat, clean and well looked after. We wanted to find a cosy and affordable spot to stop over on our travels. This stay was that and more. We were able to make special arrangements to have our dog with us, and the owner of the property was more than happy to accommodate this. The cottage is lovely, it has everything we needed. Shower's water either very hot or cold. Shower water regulation by tap and pressure was difficult. Would recommend a small sink with hot and cold water point inside where kettle is and TV.
It was a perfect stopover between the Western Cape and Gauteng. Our labrador really appreciated the large yard with grass after a long day on the road. The bed is particularly comfortable and ideal for someone who needs a good night's rest who spends long hours on the road.

There was plenty of parking for our car and trailer and the room was spacious with a lovely en-suite bathroom. There is also a lounge with a fridge and microwave. The complimentary rusk was delicious with our morning coffee. I can definitely recommend people to stay at Little Haven, you will not be disappointed!

Please try Little Haven. After a long journey it was a nice surprise to spend the night here. There is everything you might need, the decor is beautiful and tasteful and everything is of very good quality. That hostess was so friendly and helpful. It's wonderfully quiet there and you can't hear the traffic on the main road. And it's so close to the Gariep Dam that I could go and see the dam the next morning without losing travel time. I would definitely use it again and happily recommend it.

Very well welcomed and greeted. Nicely looked after us. The whole town was without power but the tanie still provided us with hot water for nice coffee before our journey.
