This unit can accommodate up to 8 guests and comprises of 2 bedrooms and a loft area. The main bedroom has a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with a basin, corner bath and shower. The second bedroom has 2 double beds. The open-plan loft area has 4 single beds. The second and third bedroom share a bathroom with a corner bath, basin and shower.
The open-plan living area is equipped with comfortable couches, a flat screen TV and full DStv. Leading out from the loft area is a wooden deck area with a table and 4 chairs, overlooking the braai area and beautiful views of the bush. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, pots, cutlery and crockery. The entertainment area comprises a spacious veranda with an 8-seater dining room table, gas heater, gas skottelbraai and Weber braai. The veranda leads to an outdoor boma with a large braai area and camping chairs.
All rooms include linen and towels; guests must bring along their own swimming towels.
Sondela Nature Reserve offers a variety of wildlife interaction, nature walks and safaris. The reserve is teeming with Njalas and other wildlife like giraffe, blue wildebeest, zebra, warthog, mongoose and many other species. Activities and facilities available at Sondela include mountain bike trails, game drives, children's playground, horse riding, 4x4, swimming pool, tennis court and hiking trails.

12 guests' feedbackFantastic bush experience with top-notch accommodation. Nice braai facilities. You can see animals from the stoep. Friendly staff at reception. We did an interactive game drive. We could feed animals too. We did a 10 km walk in the camp and saw many animals.

The best visit you can have with the wildlife on your porch. Hospitable, friendly and very very tidy.

A few things in master bedroom and bathroom that need attention. Handrail in shower. All the floor mats not up to standard, neither are the bases of the bed which are full of marks and stains and do not have a fitted sheet left. The chairs on the porch are dirty with barrel marks.
Basic things like a kettle: it is a broken kettle that is super dirty inside; toilets are stained badly; basin's drain: something weird was stuck there; glasses were dirty maybe just rinsed and put back on the shelve, I had to wash it. There was not 8 glasses of each type, 6 some only two. Leather couch has a huge hole maybe ripped. Main bedroom's matress has a "pothole" on the one side, the linen has mould and staines. This was super uncomfortable. Most of the oil heaters needs to either be balanced or not make use of it. It falls over - not good if there where to be little ones visiting this property. . Even with a 50% discount, not worth R3000 p/d. Basic maintenance sell your property for a good asking price. . We will definitely visit Bush Lodge but not this property until some maintenance has been done. I hope you can bring this under the owner's attention because this is a true gem.
This a really wonderful place. Such peacefulness and comfort. Really well equipped too. Sitting on the stoep or around the fire is where we spent most time (and cycling, reception pools etc.) and you really get to enjoy the outdoors. We will stay here again.

We loved the house and everything it has to offer. It's nice and clean and has everything you need - from the bathroom, to the room and kitchen. The little pond in front of the house is lovely because it attracts so many animals and birds. We will definitely go there again!
The apartment is beautiful and comfortable. Staff members are friendly and helpful. Nice activities to choose from.
Had a great time. Bushbucks came to our house asking for food every day.
