Lodge 7 can accommodate up to 8 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms, an upstairs loft room, 4 bathrooms, a kitchen and scullery and an open-plan dining and living area. The first bedroom contains a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a shower, a toilet, twin washbasins, and an outdoor shower. The second bedroom contains 2 three-quarter beds and a shower en suite with a toilet and washbasin. The upstairs loft room contains 4 single beds and opens to an upstairs balcony with outdoor furniture. This bathroom contains a shower, a toilet and a washbasin.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and includes a fridge-freezer, stove and oven, and a microwave. The dining area contains a 10-seater dining table and chairs. The lounge offers comfortable seating and a TV with a selection of DStv channels. Sliding doors open to a covered patio with outdoor furniture. The house has a boma with seating, a built-in braai and a firepit, located next to a waterhole.

We had a very nice stay. Beautiful place and we will definitely stay there again. We recommend the place.
We were very surprised, the photos depict the house much smaller. It's big, neat and has everything you need available. Love all the spaces that have been created to enjoy sitting outside. Unique style in the bathrooms and the outdoor shower is lovely! Slept very well!
One braai thong for braai, dishing up. Nothing to arange wood or coals. Pots, pans and oven dishes are small, not large enough to cook for eight people and some are broken. Some basins are blocked, cold water tap to wash dishes - no water coming out. TV remote battery flat. Oven not reliable and electricity when it WAS NOT EVEN LOADSHEDDING wasn't always enough to make the electrical appliances (hairdryer, kettle) work properly. No cleaning services on some days even if it was included on the website. not my best weekend at Sondela.
Makhato Lodge 7 can be recommended with the utmost confidence. The place is very spacious and well equipped. We received welcome visitors from nature ─ the most beautiful Njalas.
House well equipped, neat and spacious. Shower heads need a little attention as water is not well fed through and outside faucet lacks garden hose fittings. Outside cushions should also be replaced.
However, it does not make sense to be able to check in for 3 hours and then be out again at 10 on Sunday, such a waste of precious visiting time. Why not just change the Sunday check-out time to 3 o'clock in the afternoon, and only allow new guests the next day who then visit during the week?
