All rooms feature tea- and coffee-making facilities, TVs with guest house DStv channels, bathroom amenities and fans and heaters.
There is a communal kitchen area where guests can prepare meals. If dinner is required, it has to be arranged at least 24 hours prior to guest arrival. Breakfasts can be enjoyed either in the room or on the communal patio and can be booked upon arrival. There are facilities for guests to braai and relax outside in the garden overlooking the town of Clocolan, mountains and the farm.
Guests are welcome to take a walk and can enjoy great views over the surrounding mountains from the hill on the farm. Guests should please note that this is a working farm, with vehicles driving around. Mountain bike enthusiasts are also welcome. Once a year, the 3 Mountains bike race passes through on the farm. There is ample parking behind a secure electrified gate and the premises is monitored at night by a security guard. Pets are welcome only upon prior arrangement.

Beautiful old fashioned furniture that has been so beautifully cared for and is still in use. A dream big porch with a long table and chairs for a nice visit. Ensure a place where one can rest and renew. Definitely a place that needs to come back on my bucket list to stay.
We had a very nice stay. The breakfast is fantastic. It is nice and quiet and very neat.
The guesthouse was clean with nice touches and with a sizable room - everything was thought of, and the owner was lovely and friendly.

Annemarie and her husband immediately made us feel at home. We could also use a kitchen, everything was in place and functional. Rooms are beautiful, will definitely book there again.

After our initial visit to the Makoadi Guesthouse in 2003 with our American friends to attend the annual veteran trekker show on Clocolan, we decided to explore the Eastern Free State again with our local friends because our previous visit there was very special. Makoadi Guesthouse pleasantly surprised us again and it was a privilege to be able to visit Annemarie and Mundus on their beautiful farm. We will do it again one day!
The accommodation was very nice. We loved the old buildings and antiques. It was very clean and tidy. The food was delicious. We will definitely go back and refer everyone there. Definitely worth it.
We loved the atmosphere and the setting.
Lovely farm feel! Was a bit scared of the dogs with my baby boy who can't let a dog out. The big dogs are behind a fence, but the Schnauzers don't seem used to children. Maybe also because we are strange on the site and the owner was not there (they were on family holiday during Christmas time). It might be different when they are at home.
Delicious breakfast prepared with a lot of love by Anna. Convenient and clean room with a beautiful view.
