Matamba Lodge provides a tranquil atmosphere and a retreat to the bushveld. They prioritise ecological sustainability and operate as an environmentally friendly establishment. The lodge harnesses renewable solar power to generate the majority of its energy, ensuring uninterrupted power supply even during instances of power outages.

The lodge comprises 5 luxurious private chalets and features a lounge, dining, kitchen, bar, and library at the main lodge. All chalets are positioned to look out into the bush and have small outside seating areas, all set approximately 10 - 50 m from the main building. Each chalet has air-conditioning, hairdryers, a built-in safe, and a tea- and coffee station, and has en-suite bathrooms fitted with a bath, shower, basin, and toilet. The first 4 chalets are furnished with a king-size bed, while the fifth chalet is the family chalet which is larger and has a king-size bed and 2 single beds. The honeymoon chalet includes a small deck and private champagne pool to enjoy after a hot day and a discreet outdoor shower and bath for the ultimate bushveld experience. Crisp linen and towels are provided.

The lodge has a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge-freezer, gas hob, electric oven,
microwave, toaster, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities, and features a dishwasher for guests’ convenience. The dining area is spacious and ideal for guests to enjoy their meals. There is also a bar and a cosy lounge furnished with comfortable couches.

The folding doors effortlessly link the interior to the expansive deck and infinity pool, creating a seamless transition for guests to enjoy. A cozy seating area offers picturesque views of the vast gardens.

The outdoor Lapa is thoughtfully outfitted with a built-in wood stove, fireplace, and grid, as well as seating space for your comfort and convenience. Positioned perfectly, it offers an ideal setting for a leisurely braai while soaking in the breathtaking sunset views and observing wildlife gathering at a nearby watering hole.

This Lodge has unobtrusive fencing, making wildlife viewing effortless as animals often gather on the plains in front of the main seating area and roam around the perimeter.
