It is awesome to stay there.
Had a great stay. The location was central between the winelands and the Cape itself.
Nice stay yes, nice and spacious and well equipped.
Hostess very friendly and helpful. A few suggestions for improvement: 1. A container in the fridge for water would be convenient, especially on a hot day. 2. We are used to complimentary coffee, tea and milk etc. at most guesthouses - especially if you only stay for 1 night. 3. The fan in the room makes a lot of noise. 4. The shower's glass is cracked and water is spraying out in interesting places.
It was a comfortable unit but load shedding is here to stay, I don't want to arrive at 9pm in the evening in load shedding and I only get a candle, get emergency lights on please.
Lots of old fashioned furniture in place. No clean towel is replaced. Was covered in ants.
Had a very lovely, relaxing and peaceful stay the host was wonderful and very friendly and I will definitely go back and recommend this place to everyone.

Meerlust is probably right for people who only stay a day or 2. We stayed 10 days. The bed linen and towels were not changed once. The trash was not cleaned at all. No provision has been made for when there is load shedding. No lamps or candles or anything. So definitely not for the long term.
Als was perfect and neat, I love it.
What more can I say. The place is so beautiful and we loved the quiet open air. So relaxing. Family that host are very very nice. Need to go again, we were very satisfied with everything!

I would recommend that they put coffee, tea, sugar and milk in the cottage as a welcome for guests. The pillows are really soft, so it appears as if there are enough pillows but you have to put 4 together to serve as 2. It's terribly cold inside the house so we got cold. Not enough blankets at all. We moved for the same money to an apartment on the beach which was very welcoming and warm.
Our hosts can only interact with us a little more. It was nice to be on your own but you also want to communicate with these people because they need to get to know you and we need to feel like we belong there because we are in the whole place as a family. We appreciate the privacy but at least show that you also respect us as we respect your place.
Sleeping accommodation was sufficient and very comfortable.
What a great weekend away we had for my husband's birthday. We were just relaxed and laid back and enjoyed the quiet breakaway. Anna-Marie was a splendid host.

Our stay at Meerlust 12 was very pleasant. The two-bedroom apartment is neat and well furnished. The owners, Johan and his wife, are friendly people who will make any guest feel welcome and at ease. I can definitely recommend Meerlust 12 to those looking for value for money.

Everything was worth it, safe parking and everything was pleasant from the moment of arrival, we just struggled a bit with the TV, but I would recommend Meerlust. Good place.
Surely a home away from home. A friendly hostess who makes you feel right at home. Unit is well equipped and located in a quiet area.
The stay was a very pleasant experience, it was neat, clean and spacious rooms as well as safe and the owner was very friendly. Arrangements and communication were very good and we would highly recommend the place.
Very neat and clean. Good location for my needs and felt very safe. Car is also safe behind gates.
Cleanliness and safety are most important to us. There is always room for improvement and small things that need attention. We will come back again.
