The wonderful highlight was that Jan took us on a trip in his 4x4 to see bearded vultures soaring up from the spectacular gorge on a nearby farm. It would be inaccessible otherwise. The wood cabins (partly built by Jan himself) are comfortable enough, with a shower, a braai, and the usual conveniences. The bigger cabins also have wood-fired tubs outside for soaking in. The springbok (the animal kind) grazing on the lawn lends extra character.
Fantastic and friendly hosts. Place feels private and quiet even though close to shops/restaurants, etc. Cabin was clean and a great space. Jacuzzi was a fantastic bonus and the most friendly family dog who popped in to visit here and there.
Great! They were excellent and accommodating. I have a cat with me, which the hosts kindly let me keep in the unit. In addition to the natural scenery (mountains, river, and starry skies), they also have a generator for load shedding.

Thank you for the jacuzzi and the neat accommodation. Feather bedding was not good for our allergy, but believe you will need warm bedding in winter.

On our arrival, Jan was there to welcome us, he was very friendly and took us through the entire cabin. We felt very safe during our stay. I will definitely use the place again. Weekend was very cold, but place was provided with warm blankets and the fireplace worked well with plenty of wood.

Well-equipped cabin in a beautiful area.
It would have been nice if the KolKol was warm when we arrived. They knew our time of arrival and could have planned to have warm water in the tub on the verandah.

The owners warmly welcomed us at the gate and quickly made us feel at home. The log house is beautifully furnished with everything we needed and enough provision was made for the cold evenings. Power was a little annoying, but the hot plunge pool on the porch made up for the inconvenience. The view over the mountains was truly beautiful. All wood is provided for barbecue and splash pool.
Lovely time around the fireplace and barbecue. Slightly snug for 4 adults. The host and hostess were very helpful, tumble drying our towels and making sure the bath was hot and firewood was replenished, even providing games.
The overnight cottages are well located in Lady Gray with a good road to get there. The wooden houses are extremely neat, clean and well equipped and the hot tub in front of the veranda is a welcome bonus. Jan and Felícia are a fantastic host and hostess and took us very well. We can really recommend the place to stay.

We loved our stay - a cosy cabin with all the comforts. We arrived to find our hot tub ready and perfectly hot. The cabin was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We had everything we needed and the hosts were warm and readily available to help with anything. Lady Grey is small but has a well-stocked grocery store just down the road. We got braai meat and had a great braai just after our hot tubbing. What we loved about the place was the care around keeping us and our baby warm and cosy - with blankets, electric blankets and wall heaters supplied. It was also safe and well-fenced yet right at the foothills of the mountains, our car parked right near our cabin.
Thank you for a friendly reception. The fire in the stove was an unexpected bonus. We had more than we were hoping for. Thank you.

What a surprise Millers Wood Cabins was! It is so neat and has a lovely fireplace and KolKol hot tub. Piles of wood were even provided! The best was the large yard with lots of play space for our 4 year old son. There are beautiful dogs and even a tame springbok. What a feast! Mr and Mrs Miller were so hospitable and welcomed us with open Eastern Cape arms and warmth. We will definitely come back again! Thank you very much for the wonderful stay!

This little place is an absolute gem! Never has a host gone to such great lengths for us! Buckets of hot water brought to us when the water pipes were frozen; every afternoon the fireplace was packed and lit for us.
