Staff very helpful, we had the whole lodge to ourselves, big kitchen, lovely braai area, tables were set for dinner which was so special, all our rooms and kitchen were cleaned every morning, lovely stay. Thanks.
Directions sent to me were very confusing, we ended up driving to Lephalale first and then another 1:30 min to where Google Maps was saying, but it still took us to the wrong farm gate. We found it on our own driving up the road. Clearer directions need to be given, please.

Provision of function's dinner was off the books - delicious food! Wanta made a lot of effort and we had a good time the next day too! Function area and kitchen at tent camp is a lovely meeting place for large groups - nice and private and was always very neatly clean and tables very nicely set every morning and evening! Help in the kitchen and camp is very prompt for an extra tip. All the rooms (of all the units) were always very nicely clean and tastefully furnished with beautiful modern bedding and towels etc. Family oonset has no air cooling - is also advertised as such - but unfortunately has an asbestos roof with no ceiling. It feels like a cooking oven in there. The wood is advertised a crate of wood every day, but is not always enough. The gate at the main entrance has to be pushed open by hand (not a problem) but the gate is very heavy and old (heel stuck) so it is left open and means any person from outside (as well as criminals) can enter and move into the areas. This didn't happen but was a major concern while we were there. Wanta is a fluent hostess and is constantly running around to keep her guests happy. She tries her best to get to everything, but needs serious maintenance. Tent camp and family room, as well as cottages by the pool toilets and showers were all not working - water pipes breaking and constant problems with water pressure and toilets not flushing. Shower heads that are calcified and some of the geysers are also broken. We had a great time, it's a beautiful place for large groups, just a shame we had to fight about water problems.
We had a very nice and peaceful visit. Perfect place if you want to enjoy rest and silence. Very friendly reception and hospitable owners.

For the people who love outdoors, nature, this is what you need. Loved the time spent there.
If you're looking for peace, tranquility and isolation, Motsomi is a perfect place to escape from the rat race. The camp and tents are well appointed, and the staff keeps everything neat and clean. Wanta was a perfect hostess, and went out of her way to help us. A big thank you Wanta and Hennie for sharing their bit of heaven with us.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed it a lot and had a nice rest in the forest.
We as a family had a wonderful weekend. The accommodation as well as the service were top notch. I recommend Motsomi Lodge to anyone who just wants to enjoy some quiet time in the bush. The owners make you feel at home and the service is fantastic. Will definitely go back again!
Will definitely go there again, the hospitality and dogs were fantastic.
We had a great visit. Relaxing and quiet with everything your heat could desire for a nice break. Madelein and our host and hostess were friendly and went to some lengths to make our stay great. There was only one thing that bothered us which is that Thabazimbi is plagued by power cuts.
Location not easily to be found. No venue signs on the road to be able to reach the Lodge.
It was an unforgettable weekend in the most beautiful, modern accommodation.
My partner and I really enjoyed ourselves. The place is beautiful. But we couldn't locate the area on GPS.
Wanta was very hospitable and the quality of facilities is very high. My daughters really enjoyed the weekend. Next time we will use the tent camps.
We were mainly looking for accommodation for one night because we had a wedding there on Saturday afternoon and a Baptism the next morning. The next morning when we wanted to shower and get ready for the church service there was no water in the taps. When we turned on the cold tap, only a trickle of hot water came out. Must say, the owners tried their best to fix the problem. According to them, there was a power outage during the evening which put the water pumps out of action. We would also suggest that they at least put a table with the fridge section as it is self-catering and you have nowhere to just spread your buns. The place is neat, but for the price per person and what the unit offers it is a bit expensive.
