15 guests' feedbackWhat a wonderful experience. Everything was fine when we arrived. Neatly clean everything in their place. It was nice to sit on the porch and identify birds. There were 2 free bags of wood that you can use if you didn't bring wood for barbecue.

The train was a dream world for the children. Everything in the train was so beautiful and clean. Everything we needed was there for us. We had a nice walk up the mountain and the cute farm dog walked with us the whole time. Really value for money, we didn't want to go home.

Mount Serene is a beautiful place near Pretoria and Johannesburg. It's perfect for a quick weekend getaway. The scenery and silence are great for recharging your batteries. I would highly recommend it.
Mount Serene was exactly what we were looking for. Located close to quite a few places and nice and quiet, in the woods where the birds come to visit you and the beautiful, friendliest farm dog!
Nice to sleep in a train again. The train has been very nicely restored. Kitchen is fully equipped. Unique experience for the children to sleep in a train.
It was great! What an adventure to sleep in such an old train. The children especially enjoyed it, and we really enjoyed the silence and the birds.

A very unique experience, the carriage is just about completely original and brings back memories of train travel many years ago. Everything we needed was there, and the bed was very comfy. I was woken by the sweet sound of swallows chirping outside the window. For bird lovers, this destination is fantastic with birds around us all day.
The train was interesting and comfortable for 4 of us. The pool was a winner to cool off in and it's quiet with a good view.
