This self-catering lodge has 3 large, clean and comfortable double bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom, and a loft sleeping area with a separate bathroom area. In total, the lodge has 4 bathrooms. There are 3 bathrooms with a shower, toilet, and hand basin, and 1 with a bath, toilet, and hand basin.
Outside, there is a large deck overlooking the waterhole, approximately 30m away, that is frequented by game. Guests can enjoy magnificent views of the mountains, absolutely magical sunrises for the early birds, and most exquisitely beautiful sunsets at day's end. There is also very nice boma for all your braai requirements, with firewood provided by the farm. For the more adventurous, there are trails for 4x4 vehicles and mountain biking.
Electricity is supplied by a combination of Solar energy and a generator. The lodge and farm are not dependent on Eskom for power supply.

Short stay but it was very relaxing. The unit is very comfortable and clean. The caretaker was really hospitable and made us feel exceptionally comfortable. Will definitely go back.
Very nice stay! Will go again for sure. The convenience of Solar & Generator power and also the WiFi is a big plus point. I needed to use WiFi for work. Worked 100%.
It was our 2nd time at the lodge for children's sports. Next time we will just rest at the beautiful place! Service was great and really food for the soul.

Great few days of rest and relaxation! Patrick and Ester made us feel so welcome, were helpful, and Patrick came every morning and evening to make sure everything was OK and if we needed anything. The house is fully equipped with everything that could possibly be needed. Neat and clean. A wonderful few days of rest and relaxation.

Very well located. The house is very neat and equipped with all the basic necessities. Game often came to drink water. The porch is where we spent basically all of our time. Breathtaking views.
Awesome birthday getaway with friends. Definitely recommend. Sedan cars are not recommended for self-drive on the farm but the road to the house is fine. Shout out to Patrick, he is friendly and helpful.

Home away from home! Very clean and tidy, Patrick and his wife are incredibly nice. Everything you need and more. Beautiful surroundings and lots of wildlife seen with goats that just want to eat out of your hands! Will definitely recommend. It is stunning.
Had a great time at Mountain View Bush Lodge. Contacted Jan often with questions and was always answered kindly. Upon arrival we were received by Patrick and his wife (you won't find friendlier people). The rooms were well equipped and we were 8 adults with 4 children, although the place says they only cater for 8 people there were 2 double beds in 1 room and an extra cot in the other so it wasn't even necessary to get inflatable mattresses ready for the children. Everything is peaceful and it really is just a nice weekend in the woods.
Maybe just a net for the pool in the winter months.
We had a wonderful stay. The lodge has everything one needs. Jan's team of people took a good look at us. The knives just need a good sharpening and there are a lot of ants so don't leave any food open and just take some cream with you.
A very nice place. In the forest with everything one is used to, even WiFi. Nice big area for eating and hanging out and of course we spent a lot of time on the deck. From the deck we enjoyed the sunrises and the deck looks right on the waterhole. Patrick is so helpful. Out and out focused on making everything as convenient as possible. Patrick came to light the fires for us, the fireplace made for the perfect ambience. His wife took care of the cleaning services. The kitchen is equipped with everything and anything and is big enough that a few of us could prepare food together. There are 4 rooms, three of which are connected. The three en-suite rooms have sliding doors that open onto the deck. It's fantastic. The 4th room is upstairs and the stairs are small and quite stylish. The room is more private but does not have an en-suite. We went on a hiking trail. I would highly recommend it, the nature walk was fantastic.
The lodge is fully equipped, comfortable, spacious, all amenties you would need out in the bush. The watering hole right in front of the lodge to watch the buck and giraffe was amazing. It was tranquil and just lovely. Enjoyed having the fireplace indoors with it being winter. The rooms were warm and comfortable, kitchen was fully equipped. Having Netflix and WiFi for the kids was a bonus. Enjoyed our stay very much.
Loved the fact that it is so private. It was just us there. The animals roaming around was the highlight. Facility has everything that one might need. We cooked, baked and braaied, even enjoyed a bit of a swim. Thanks to Patrick who waited for us at the gate even though we were late. He checked up on us every morning. He was always just a quick call or buzz away. Whole group really loved Patrick, such a sweet gentleman.

Very nice view. Neat, clean and comfortable. Very nice place to hang out on the large stoep that overlooks a busy swimming pool. Separate rooms for privacy. The farm is very beautiful and plenty of space for walking, cycling and driving. Couldn't have asked for better. Patrick, Esther and Jan are very helpful. We really enjoyed our time here and would recommend it to anyone.
Our stay at this place was really worth it. The place itself is located in a beautiful area, totally isolated farm. We were a group of 3 couples and it accomodated us perferctly. The reception and care we recieved from the hosts were incredible. Thank you for making our stay as great as it was. I will be definitely coming back to this location.

Mountain View Bush lodge is the perfect place to relax and have peace and quiet! Had the most lovely time with family and will highly recommend this place.
The house is build on the top of a mountain so you have a 360 degree view. Amazing sunrises and sunsets. The bush is very dry so the waterhole in front of the house is well utilised. Saw the following animals at the waterhole klipspringer, kudu, wildebeest, warthogs, mongoose, baboons and giraffe. Patrick and Ester go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Very well equipped, you don't even realise you're "Off the Grid". The place is spacious and very well serviced. Patrick is a gem and a very polite person. He makes sure you have a nice bushveld fire every day for the meat.

We really enjoyed our stay, the rooms are very nice inside and out. The place itself is very well appointed, everything you think you will need is already there. The setting and views are spectacular, staff very helpful, bed and linen comfortable. The bush is a tree lovers dream, once they finish the road grading and driving is open again it will be even better. Need to clearly Sign Post the entrance gate.

We were welcomed very kindly, and had outstanding service. The facilities are very clean and tidy, and the location is fantastic, with incredible views. The workers' accommodation may have been close to the house, which dampens privacy a bit, but that is no reason not to visit the beautiful place.

Best getaway we've had in a long time! Nature is breathtaking, the house is so spacious, beautifully furnished, clean and tidy. All luxuries are provided - from a large screen television to a telescope and of course the Wi-Fi for the children. All this while you look out over the most beautiful scenery that Limpopo has to offer. Patrick and Esther took care of everything and saw to it that our bags were carried in and out, fires were lit and the dishes were kept clean at all times. We felt incredibly spoiled. 10-out-10.
If you want to enjoy the Bushveld tranquillity, Mountain View Bush Lodge is just the place! Patrick is a star and keeps providing wood for that unforgettable bushveld fire. I would suggest that more attention be paid to the rooms. The beds are not of high quality and the linen does not fit together. There is also no big mirror for the ladies.

These are the 2 most wonderful people I have ever met. They made so much effort for us. It felt like I was at home. If they are not there I don't know if it will be the same. We had a great time and stay. You immediately feel at home. Everything was clean and very tidy. Very calm and quiet.

The rooms are beautiful and are scrubbed and cleaned every day. The bedding is of high quality. The host and hostess are lovely people who at all times try to make your stay comfortable, convenient and really enjoyable. Nothing is too much trouble and you are taken care of. The deck overlooking the farm is where you find yourself again and the large table makes you feel like you're hanging out around your grandmother's kitchen table again. I would definitely recommend Mountain View and can't wait to go back!
Hospitably and kindly received by Daphne who also arranged for our luggage to be delivered to our room. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy. The bedding and towels were clean and of good quality. The atmosphere and tranquility is just what we were looking for. The view from the deck was great and we really enjoyed the wildlife at the feeding place. Allan and Daphne went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We look forward to relaxing there again.
I rode a motorcycle and was very approachable. Extremely peaceful accommodation with a beautiful view and atmosphere. Can recommend it. It is important to know that you have to provide for meals and drinks yourself.
It's a gem of a dream farm to walk over mountains and valleys, to look for the giraffes, zebras, kudus and all kinds of bugs and geckos! Ideal if you want to get away and love nature and watch the animals eat breakfast from your bed! Daphne is a very friendly, competent and caring hostess!
