Mountain View Lodge is very neat. Their staff were helpful and friendly. Food is delicious and affordable. We had a great time and it's really a very pleasant experience. Rooms are clean with clean bedding and towels. We will definitely use them again and recommend people.

Cannot fault the stay.
Cathy and her team's service is legendary and their passion is reflected in the dedication! For my money, I wouldn't think twice about visiting/staying here again. Prospective visitors needn't look any further or waste their time with other places - in my opinion, this is the place to be.
The lights that are on motion sensors are a bit annoying during the night. The wifi speed was very slow.

I was amazed to find such a beautiful and neat place to sleep just outside Volksrus, on my way back home in the direction of KZN from the Kruger National Park. They also have a great restaurant, with a romantic atmosphere, where we could order delicious food from an a la carte menu. Much more than I expected at this price, a delicious breakfast was also included! I can highly recommend this accommodation.
I can honestly say Mounrain View surprised us. Clean and tidy rooms, a friendly reception and tasty dinner made our stay really enjoyable. It was very unexpected, and a nice surprise. I would not hesitate to stay again.
If it weren't for the website's search engine blunders, we wouldn't have stayed at Mountain View Lodge. Actually wanted to go to Wakkerstroom for a long weekend. I am grateful that it worked out this way because the available accommodation in Wakkerstroom was frighteningly poor and, moreover, very expensive. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and dinner food was delicious. Apart from plastic teaspoons and no safe, the room was comfortable and clean.

The food was extremely tasty and the menu entices you to drive straight from Johannesburg to Volksrus for a very tasty dinner, with lots of tasty choices! Rooms are beautiful and clean, and there's plenty of hot water for a shower. The staff are friendly and helpful. A light was even provided in case of loadshedding.

Many thanks to everyone at Mountain View Lodge. There is a nice peaceful atmosphere that allows you to relax. The hospitality and friendliness we experienced from the staff was second to none, and the food in the restaurant is of high quality.
We had to travel for business and I realize it was at an inopportune time, but the lodge didn't even know we had booked. Due to the area not having restaurants etc. didn't, we booked here specifically for bed and breakfast and because they have a restaurant. Luckily I called before we arrived. On arrival we were told that the restaurant was closed and that breakfast was not being served as a result. We booked for 2 nights but only stayed 1 night as you can only eat at the Wimpy in town and the room only has a kettle and a fridge so you can't cook yourself. At least the management was friendly.
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone at Mountain View Lodge, your help after I injured myself, your kindness and hospitality and the food was top notch. See you again!
