40 guests' feedbackWe only stayed there one night. Very clean and tidy. Only not allowed to eat inside a room, but there is a beautiful outside area with tables and chairs and a large communal kitchen that has everything you need to cook. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

We just used the room to shower and sleep. The room was perfect for that purpose. FYI - You are not allowed to eat in the room, but can either use the outside seating area or the guest kitchen. The room also does not offer DSTV, only OpenView.

Room a bit small but value for money. All rooms share a communal kitchen. Some utensils missing in the kitchen like spoons, etc. But still a good bargain for a low cost stay.
I had almost decided Stilbaai was too expensive for a single person until I found Myrtle's retreat. Perfect for a quick overnight stay.

Bedroom unit with own bathroom neat and comfortable. However, the place is ideal for large families who want to get together because the kitchen area and one braai are shared with other guests. No DStv only regular channels available.

We enjoyed the stay. It is well appointed, with a separate full kitchen with indoor braai facilities. It's not very private as the kitchen and courtyard are shared, but we still enjoyed it and made new friends.

The management of the place was very bad. We had 2 rooms and both didn't have hot water. It was difficult with two small children without hot water. At the end of our stay we realised that the gas geysers were without gas though and thus the owners could have prevented the problem. The owner was rude and couldn't understand why we made such a fuss, but if you ask money for accommodation then you have to make sure that you can keep the place maintained.
