The New Beginnings Cottage is situated next to the main house but is very private. The cottage can accommodate 4 guests and consists of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The first bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and the en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet and wash basin. The second bedroom is furnished with 2 three-quarter beds and the additional bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet and wash basin.
The kitchen is equipped with a gas-top stove with an electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, cutlery and crockery as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. The living room contains a round 4-seater dining table and chairs, couches and a flat-screen TV with DSTV and Netflix. The cottage opens to a private, covered patio with an outdoor dining table and built-in braai facilities. The cottage has a private plunge pool and a lawn area that overlooks a small freshwater dam.
Additionally, there is no cell reception in Pietersfontein but Wi-Fi can be made. There are many wonderful mountain walks, trail runs and mountain biking tracks to be discovered. The accommodation has an additional campsite on the premises.

It is so nice and quiet, beautiful, the convenience of a private pool made every second worth the effort and money for us. Very neat and clean. was so friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely go again.
The campsite is amazing, ample firewood is provided, the ablution facility is simple but works well and we always had sufficient warm water, and excellent birdlife right at the campsite, we loved our stay.
What a lovely spot for a quiet break! The pool and patio, comfy cottage and well-equipped kitchen made for a relaxed experience. The starry nights were a magical bonus!
It's not our first time at New Beginnings, nor will it be our last. This is our absolute favourite place to go to when we need to unwind from the grind. The spectacular views from the verandah really just take your breath away. It has everything you need to make your self-catering stay a wonderful one. The hosts, Sue and Stan, are absolute treasures. Thank you, Sue and Stan, we will definitely be back!
The location is peaceful and quiet. You can clearly see the stars at night. Lovely sounds of the birds chirping in the morning.
The outside area in particular is fantastic - swimming pool, lawn, sun loungers, barbecue and table under roof. Als is tidy inside and out, kitchen well equipped, the place smells great with the air fresheners. The wood makes flames, embers and heat - nice man. Special flowers and card surprise for our anniversary. Nice shower (hot water, good pressure, big) and wall heaters in the rooms. What a view from the bedroom to the outside. We will definitely go again.
It's the perfect place to break away from the city. We really enjoyed the tranquility, and my children enjoyed the pond and pool just as much. The house is comfortably furnished, and has everything one needs.
