The lodge consists of 16 elegantly styled en-suite bedrooms and is well known for its personalised hospitality. 14 Bedrooms have been individually decorated with Mahogany furniture and natural fabrics to create a warm and elegant ambience in Colonial style. Two Honeymoon suites boast it's own distinctive character, ideally suited for wedding couples.
Constant dedication and attention to detail make Goldfields Lodge an outstanding, efficient and well-appointed conference establishment with state-of-the-art equipment. We can accommodate up to 250 delegates with the option of separation into smaller venues.

20 guests' feedbackIt is good to know that Picanha is the venue where functions are often offered on weekends. Unfortunately, this causes parking problems for guests staying over as there is no reserved parking for them. In addition, we could not use the lovely restaurant as the kitchen had to be ready for the other people.
They are simply the best. Great staff and the place was beautiful and neat, so me and my wife had a great time. The food was delicious.
Would be a big yes if someone asked me how the place is. Will highly recommend it.
We slept over one night. Unfortunately there were 2 single beds. Would have preferred double bed. The room was also next to a compressor or something. The noise all night was disturbing.
Didn't get the room at all as booked and paid for.
We arrived and was well received, food and show was great and that is were it ended. In both the rooms the aircon flooded the floor we were struggling to get a hold of someone to come and help to clean up, 30min later we got hold of the manager that assisted in both rooms the TV's also did not work. 00:30 after our view there was people in the parking lot screaming and shouting. In the morning we woke up and again the room was flooded and we had little to no hot water in the shower. For R800 per room which is specified as the luxury rooms I would think this will be much better. When we left after breakfast again we could not find anybody to give the rooms keys to so we ended up just putting them on the counter. Sorry but I can not see that this is a 4 star lodge.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant's breakfast and coffee are recommended.

We were really pleased with the service, and the location was perfect for the purpose of the weekend.
Apart from the area where it is located, you feel really safe. Really a peaceful, tidy home.
We slept on dirty sheets with the smell of the previous user. No Cutlery. Bought pizza in the restaurant - given a burnt one. Was with family but 2 separate rooms were allocated instead of a family unit - maybe it was my mistake, I am not sure.
Nigel Goldfields Lodge did not receive proof of payment and gave me 2 email addresses to which I then had to send the proof of payment to as they did not receive it. When we got back to the wedding there was no one to open the gate for us and we had to lift the boom ourselves. My friends' air-con leaked so much there was water in their room and it spilled into the hallway.
I was under the impression it was a bed and breakfast. On my arrival I was told that breakfast was not included in the R750.00 per standard room. Very disturbing. The toilet in the room was also not clean and the shower smelled horrible. The rooms and bathrooms are also not cleaned properly. Pillowcases were also unsightly and I should have brought my own instead.
The business as guest destination is well developed, staff very friendly, rooms clean and food of high quality. Really enjoyed the stay.
We were happy with our stay.
Initially there was confusion over whether we were supposed to be at the conference centre or at the lodge. When I saw some of the other guests lying on chairs in the corridors and playing music loudly from their rooms, I had my doubts. Luckily it all worked out fine. I would have liked the option to have a double bed and not two single beds.
Fantastic accommodation - luxurious and tidy! Would definitely recommend for overnight accommodation! Nigel surprised us with this stay!
