12 guests' feedbackGreat getaway from it all. Stunning view over the Overberg valleys. Could see the Breede River from the porch. Was able to visit both inside and outside.
When the birds wake you up in the morning and there's no other person in sight, that's the way to start the day. Fireplace was lovely and nice and warm for the evening. The river and dassies entertain you as you drive around. And in the afternoon the frolic of the mice is something to behold. (Just wish the GPS read the road map better).
Very still. Don't see anyone. Everything I wanted and expected.
Highly recommend this getaway.
The farmland surroundings were peaceful and quiet. The cottage had all that we required and a very homely touch. We will stay at Nona Rosa when we are next in the area, if possible for longer.
The complimentary, homemade rusks were just the best.
We really enjoyed the silence and the farm atmosphere. Had a great time and the rusk that was left for us was delicious. Will go again for sure.
Ideal if you want to experience the silence and sounds of the field and be completely alone in nature. The facilities are adequate and neat, and one can really relax while listening to the birds or admiring the Milky Way and shooting stars at night.
We stayed only one night at this beautiful spot and now we are looking forward to stay there more nights. Everything you need you will find in the old authentic house where the atmosphere is very cosy. The beds were good. We were spoiled with braaiwood and rusks. You can walk, drive, go to the river etc. Many things to do. Even the beach is not too far. Thanks for this wonderful experience!
Can recommend Nona Rosa if you are looking for tranquility and peace. Weak cell phone signal which makes it even quieter. The bit of dirt road wasn't bad either.
Can recommend Nona Rosa Getaway anytime. Beautiful, comfortable, beautiful, fixed old house. Nice farm roads for riding mountain bikes and 4x4s. Friendly people and good service. Pleasant place to get away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough should you need something urgently. Overall we had a great time.
The house / cottage has all the amenities that one requires and is very neat. The owners were very helpful. It is located within a short drive of the sea and shopping facilities / restaurants. One must like the rural life to enjoy staying here.
