My stay was excellent. The only comment I would make is that there is quite a lot of highway traffic noise for rooms facing the highway. Double glazing would probably reduce this significantly. The host was very accommodating when my travel plans suddenly changed. This was greatly appreciated.

Olive Garden Guesthouse received us well. There are things that could be improved such as the tiles which are already a bit cracked and worn. The rest was all good. Room wonderfully warm and warm blankets in Bloemfontein's icy cold winter.
We were received very hospitably and had a nice chat. Everything was clean, in good condition and tasteful. I will definitely stay there again.

Although we received confirmation that we were booked at Olive Gardens, upon arrival we were told the place was full and we were taken to another guest house, Park Living. We were not even asked what time we wanted to have breakfast and the next morning at 7 o'clock the lady started making breakfast for us through sleep, in her night clothes. The yogurt and cereal were set down, without utensils. There was no coffee and tea, until we asked. After bringing out the bacon and eggs, she first went to make toast.
The breakfast was very good and security is good. The bed was one of the hardest I've ever slept on.
Ancilin was more than friendly and helpful, everything was neat and clean! The breakfast was delicious. Would stay here again if we travel through Bloemfontein.
I acknowledge that I requested inexpensive accommodations but the room was extremely small for 3 adults and the bed that I slept on (single bed) was extremely uncomfortable. It can be used for a young child but not for an adult.

Beautiful place, rooms are very clean and the breakfast was delicious. The owners are very friendly and accommodating, we arrived very early in Bloemfontein and Ancillin told us that we can check in after 10:00 we don’t have to wonder around waiting for 14:00.

On the surface, Olive Garden Guest House looks like a very pleasant place to stay. However, our first problem started when we arrived at the dead man's door on Friday night. The gate bell did not work and we had to call the owner's number several times before she came back to us and could ask someone to open. Arriving at the room, everything was nice and clean. Our room was on the top floor and very comfortable, until the Saturday evening when there were people hanging out on the patio downstairs. On top of the noise until late, we woke up 2 hours later with a feeling of suffocation and a room smelling badly of smoke. We had to open the window and turn on the air conditioning just to get some fresh air. If you are someone who wants to sleep in silence I would not recommend the guest house either, it is located right next to the main road and the busy road makes a lot of noise during the evening. Furthermore, the breakfast was delicious and the owners very friendly, it's a shame about these few things that spoiled our weekend.

The location next to the N2 is not good for a peaceful night's rest. Our room was at the back of the building right next to the main road and the traffic really bothered us. Furthermore, there was a smell of smoke that hung in the air the whole time which also bothered us. Otherwise clean, tidy.

We visit Bloemfontein often and were very happy to discover this great guest house. Anchilin is a wonderful hostess and nothing was too much trouble for her. The rooms are neat, comfortable and the beds heavenly! Breakfast was served with precision and delicacy and was delicious! Go and have a look there: real value for money!

A bit disappointed with the fact that our rooms were not ready due to a member of staff not turning up for work. I feel that the owner should have cleaned them earlier in order to have the rooms ready by lunch time and should not have only started to do this when we arrived. The guest house otherwise has a lot of potential but needs to be managed properly. There was also a constant smell of cigarette smoke in the house. The lounge area had used glasses all around when we arrived and a few cups and glasses at the breakfast table were not clean.
