The accommodation is ideal for the calm and adventurous: nice house, beautiful garden with swimming pool and plenty of birds, field and mountain with wildlife and farm animals. Hostess very helpful.
If you want to spend the night in Cookhouse's area, or stay for a few days, you really don't have to look any further. Olivewoods is situated on a farm a few kilometers outside the town, close to the main house with beautiful gardens. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and very tastefully furnished. Everything was clean and tidy and the linen was crisp and the mattress very comfortable. I was kindly received by Wendy, who often came to find out if everything was still okay. I only stayed there overnight but would love to stay again for a longer visit. The rate is extremely cheap for what you get and it's conveniently close to the Addo Elephant Park.
One would look far to find such wonderful accommodation in such an outstanding garden and with such hospitality! This is an exceptional farm garden that cannot be described in words, you have to go and see for yourself. Wendy is so hospitable, after we went for an early morning walk, Wendy invited us for coffee and biscuits and we had a great time. We especially appreciated that Wendy credited us with the cost of our one son who could not come to South Africa due to travel restrictions. Thank you very much, we will definitely go back!

Ideal place to break away for a weekend to a quiet country location.
The hosts were excellent and invited us to enjoy a light meal and drink with them. There is a wonderful garden and a fantastic view from the house.
We came across Olivewoods by accident after all the places at Colesberg and Gariep were full. We are so glad we discovered this piece of heaven. Wendy and Brett's garden is incredibly beautiful and everything is so well looked after. The cottage was so nice and tidy with nice filter coffee and biscuits that are put there for you. It has everything you need. We were welcomed by their friendly Ridgeback and Fox Terrier. Olivewoods is also animal friendly which was very important to me because our 2 pugs could stay together. We look forward to visiting there again on our next trip.

I didn't want to leave - the decor and environment was pristine.
We had a very nice stay. The accommodation is very nice, clean and tidy, also located on a very nice farm. All I would recommend is to build/get a bigger/stable Weber or grill area for the guests who want to grill something for dinner.

Best value for money yet! Brett and Wendy are very hospitable indeed. Wish we could stay there for a month! Filter coffee was an absolute bonus and much appreciated!
