The multi-story house comprises 4 bedrooms, 4 en-suite bathrooms, a large open-plan kitchen, a dining area, and a lounge that opens onto the covered patio. Two of the bedrooms are each furnished with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a toilet, basin, shower and a bath. These rooms are on the ground floor. The third and fourth bedroom contains a double bed and has an en-suite bathroom with a toilet, basin and shower. One of these bedrooms has a sea-facing balcony and the other a seating area at the sea-facing windows. All bedrooms have sea views.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove and oven, a microwave, a fridge, tea- and coffee-making facilities, an air fryer, cutlery and crockery, pots and pans, as well as a dishwasher. A washing machine and a tumble dryer are also available for guests to use.
Guests can enjoy their meals at the dining table or relax in the lounge which has a cosy fireplace. Guests have access to DStv and Netflix. The house also has an office and a small library with a TV. The living area opens onto the patio overlooking the swimming pool and the ocean, and a Weber braai is available. The pool is not fenced, and children must be under parental supervision. The deck has a table with chairs as well as sun loungers.
There are many wine and olive farms in the area and game drives are offered on certain farms. The unit is close to Grotto Bay and the village of Darling which boasts a museum and a brewery. Melkbosstrand and Yzerfontein for groceries are also nearby. Certain supermarkets deliver up to 2 times a week in Grotto Bay.

7 guests' feedbackBeautiful view and peaceful! The house is luxurious, yet homely and cosy. Very spacious, comfortable and clean. The house has a lovely sitting area inside and outside. The bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms, give everyone their privacy. The house and kitchen are excellently equipped, we lacked nothing. The stay exceeded our expectations!
The beautiful house is exactly like the photographs, our hosts were a delight to deal with, responding instantly to the few questions we had. Grace said "Grotto is my place of breathing” and I have to agree with her. Our favourite times were enjoying a few beers on the patio and watching the sunsets. There is alternative power so we didn't notice load shedding.

Amazing location! Had such a nice stay. Could see the children playing in the pool from the house's porch. Sunsets like from a picture book. Will visit there again for sure.

Great house beautifully decorated right on the sea with fantastic sunset views. This house has by far the best location in Grotto. If you are looking for a low key relaxing holiday, this is the place.
