Our stay at Orchard Manor was a delightful experience filled with blessings and memorable moments.
Very relaxing place to stay. Stunning view of the mountains, friendly cats and zebras visited often. Load shedding is a challenge, but the gas stove/oven was a great help. Take a torch.
Accommodation very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Carol and her husband went to pick up Chinese tourists in the middle of the night who must have overslept and got lost. Tourists then had no food to eat and Carol helped them out with my food from their kitchen until the next day. Carol couldn't do enough for us.
Maybe also some pest control as there were baby cockroaches in the wood of the bed. The bedding also smelt very damp. Overall, the owner is amazing, communicates kindly. This place is beautiful, I will go there again, just a few things to attend to.
The zebra's are fantastic the female is very friendly. Just the road to the Manor was not very good.
Orchard Manor has everything you need with friendly and considerate managers but the plus point is the proximity to nature and large open spaces with beautiful views of the mountains.
Lovely unit with everything you need to switch off a bit. Hang out with the zebras on the lawn while enjoying the view of the mountains. Great hiking trails for every fitness level.

A weekend getaway that was peaceful and relaxing. Roaming animals and a picturesque view, nothing can compare. Everything is well maintained and looked after. The accommodation has all the necessities. A great place for a couple or family that need a break.
Orchard Manor is very centrally located right next to the Drakensberg Boys Choir. The unit is nice and spacious with a fireplace and has a beautiful view of the surroundings. The zebras coming up to your doorstep to say hello were a welcome surprise. Just a few things that bothered me a bit were that there is no hot water in the kitchen. The bed in the main room's mattress is very soft and the bedding is old and faded although it is very clean. We had to use the single bed duvets from the second room because we couldn't find another double blanket in the room. But apart from that we really enjoyed the farm atmosphere and location.
People are very friendly.
Beautiful view of the Drakensberg. Very comfortable accommodation. No generator. We had a lot of trouble with area power that was off and if power is off for a long time there is no water either. Units are comfortable, and were nice for our large group of nine. Restaurant and pool nearby, but far enough that it is quiet at units. Tame zebras in the area, monkeys and baboons, farm feel. Owners friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed it, especially the view which is unobstructed and beautiful.
Patrick and I have not been to the Drakensberg Mountains in 7 years, but since staying at Orchard Manor, we are planning our next trip in March and will definitely want to stay at Orchard Manor, we loved it! Clean, picture perfect and tranquil, definitely recommended if you love the mountains and nature!
Incredible view of the mountains! Super clean and tidy! With tame zebras coming to welcome you! After a misunderstanding about whether there was a fireplace in the unit, the owner moved us to a unit with a fireplace.
We had a great stay, the weather was cold, but the cottages are warm and have everything to still enjoy your stay.
We were fully surprised by the location of Orchard Manor. The zebras welcomed us. What a spot! Hardly to describe our experience without getting exaggerated. The swimming is great. And also the restaurant in the camp nearby. One remark: the fuel station was out of order during our visit. So take care that your tank is filled up! And wine or beer is not sold in the shop. Wonderful hikes in Monkeys Owl and Cathedral Peak.

The chalet is beautiful, with incredible views of the mountains, located in the heart of probably the best holiday destination in SA. The grandchildren were delighted by the tame zebras that roamed there. Play space for the children was more than enough and the fact that you are not trampled among other people is absolutely priceless.
No mirror, with power point below for make-up and hair blowing. Hairdryer in bathroom with no power point. No welcome coffee and milk on arrival for first day. Memory foam mattress and very soft, sleep in a hole within 5 min. Otherwise very nice.
Great on the farm. Peaceful environment and a beautiful mountain view. Spacious rooms and clean. No wood for the fireplace. The chickens wake you up before 05:00.
The unit is well-equipped and very spacious. The view is unbelievable. There are zebras and ducks walking on the premises. The big bed is in the living area and not private at all. We had a very nice stay - very good value for money.
Breathtakingly beautiful destination with prompt and friendly service. Housing is top notch. Many activities. Safe hiking trails in the Drakensberg. Your soul will find rest here.
