Jaco and Alrie's hospitality was incredible. Their attention to detail is exceptional. The stay takes you back years with nostalgia. The dinner and breakfast were so authentic traditional peasant food and top notch. The farm's scenery is beautiful and unspoilt and truly a gem. We will definitely return.
Excellent in all respects, accommodation, scenery and location.
Nice stay, all I didn't understand was how far we were from the main farm and the places we wanted to visit like the waterfall, but otherwise a very nice stay.
Highlights for us were the following: Farm tour with Willem van Wyk - Oorlogskloof, waterfall and rock paintings. Delicious treat with a meal that was delivered and served at our cottage.
Had the most delicious private place in Rondekraal. Nature and silence are fantastic. Well equipped. Just be mindful of confirming whether meals are available and whether self-catering is required.
One night was too short, definitely stay longer. We plan to return soon.

The farm buidings have been restored with authenticity and have been tastefully furnished. Papkuilsfontein has some spectacular scenery that can be reached by interesting cycle tracks.

We have stayed in a lot of great places over the years and Papkuilsfontein brings all of the best together in one place. The cottage was beautiful with every last detail thought out and included. The farm itself provides a calming sense of solitude. The team spoilt us and looked after our every need. Well done!
Good, they adopt conservation friendly farming, and decor very quaint and befitting. Nice area for nature exploring with impressive mountains etc incl canyons to rival the Blyde.
I was blown away by the attention to fine detail. I also farm on a farm and know the effort it takes to create something beautiful and rounded because the elements of nature sometimes make it difficult. It is nice to be received so kindly. Congratulations to the team of people at Papkuilsfontein.
Accommodation offers all the amenities, is functional and of high quality - detail something special. Need a fan for warm evenings though? Location is perfect, outdoor grill, wood, flash, matches, etc provided free of charge. Pre-ordered barbecue packs/dinner great, now still longing for the Hantammer merino chops. Breakfast exceptional, good quality (although think R 190 pp is somewhat expensive).

Papkuilsfontein is the perfect distance from Cape Town for a nice lazy weekend on a farm in the Northern Cape, in the most beautiful environment in the province. The units are luxurious and very well equipped.

Terribly nice stay - everything is there, neat and very romantic (even though I traveled alone). Luxury for a farm. Most fantastic walk "De Hoop" to an awesome canyon. Directions on the walking route are brilliant. Nice bushman drawings. Absolutely worth the effort and money!
Alri is the perfect hostess. So much attention to detail and warm care. We are inspired by all the beauty. We hope to see you again soon. We arrived safely at Cederberg Chalets with reasonable difficulty.
Would go there again anytime. This is the type of place you long to return to.
