The house comprises 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The first storey is reached via a wooden staircase and offers a balcony and a view of the reserve. The main bedroom is on this storey and contains a queen-size bed and the second bedroom contains 2 single beds. These rooms share a bathroom with a shower and a bath. The third bedroom, which is on the ground floor, contains a queen-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower. All bedding and bath towels are provided. Guests should bring with their own swimming towels.
The open-plan living area is comfortably furnished and large glass doors open onto the balcony. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, microwave and washing machine.
The lounge has comfortable seating and a smart TV. Free Wi-Fi is available and guest can load their own DStv Now or Netflix. The living area leads out onto a large deck overlooking the vegetation of the reserve and the ocean where dolphins and whales can be viewed in season.
There is a gas braai available on the patio. Because of the fire hazard guests are not allowed to use the gas braai during windy weather.
The beach is 120 m from the house and accessible via a boardwalk that winds through the reserve to the beach.

4 guests' feedbackIt was fantastic. Would definitely stay there again. Nature and the fresh clean air really did the soul good.
We had a nice holiday and the accommodation was oky. Everything was neat and tidy. The downstairs bathroom only needs drastically less space where you can put down anything more than a toothbrush and place to hang a towel. The whole downstairs room could do with better ventilation or an aircon or just a better roof fan. The rest of the place was really cute and well equipped. Would have liked if there was a tumble dryer or just a better laundry rack. Beds were super comfortable with high quality bedding. Absolute plus!
Definitely a place if you want to rest and be nice and quiet.
We were initially a bit frustrated because the DStv wasn't working (World Cup cricket and Wimbledon), but everyone went out of their way to make sure it was sorted. This was really appreciated. All in all a wonderful relaxing stay. If there is one criticism, it would be the lack of a dishwasher, as 3 teenagers create a lot of dishes. Thank you, and we will be back.

House rules
Houtbosch Bay is a complex with private cabins and not a place to party. Noise must be kept to a minimum at all times. Residents must live together in harmony and be respectful towards other residents. No resident may use radios, televisions, music playing devices, speakers or instruments in such a way that it bothers or irritates other residents.Quiet times are between 22:00 and 06:00. Because of the fire risk, the gasbraai may not be used on the balcony or when there are strong winds.
Please drive carefully between Jeffreys Bay and Marina, since there are a lot of farm animals.
