Very comfortable with everything one needs. Excellent value for money. Perfect location, close enough to walk to the town square but far enough that the noise doesn't bother you. Probably one of the most beautiful views over the mountains in Clarens. The hostess is particularly helpful and friendly.
Superb! All a man needed at the end of a hard working day in the bush: Easy access, safe parking, comfortable bed, WiFi, large garden and lawn, a wooden deck with the best view in Clarens, a braai on the deck so that I could braai the local boerewors and drink the Village Beer, and finally, a kitchen that provided all the usual home comforts (choice of three braai dishes!). Definitely will bring the family to stay on holiday!

The place was like home with all the comforts of home too. We had nothing short. The owners were very accommodating and kept us informed all the time on WhatsApp as we got closer to the holiday period. They are very friendly and caring people. The yard and surrounding areas were clean. We had a beautiful view of the mountains in the morning and the place was very safe.
The place was good but not prepared for cold weather. Very clean and plenty of kitchenware. I'd recomend for good weather.

We had a wonderful stay! The living area and rooms are not large, but the yard is massive. I wouldn't book more than 8 people there, then things get a bit crowded. Furthermore, the place has everything one would need for a weekend away.
We wanted a good break and Clarens and the accommodation supplied exactly what we needed. It was out of town enough to feel like we were alone. Great views of the mountains and all but was close enough that we could still go enjoy the things that we wanted to do.

The cold water tap in the shower was not working very well. We had to be careful not to burn ourselves. The microwave is small, but other than that we had a good stay.
There was an enormous ditch at the entrance to the house and although we tried to pack stones into it, it was still very difficult to drive through it without damaging your car. The gate is also difficult to open. The electrical wiring in the house makes one very nervous.

Very well equipped with everything you need, just take your DSTV smart card if you want more channel options. The house is nice and warm inside and the veranda with the braai is wonderful. You can have a wonderful view of the mountains.
Well appointed family home with the most stunning views from 3 bedrooms and lounge and a large patio leading onto large garden. The kitchen had all one could want for our stay, and the extra bedding and electric blankets certainly helped for the unexpected cold.
Pico Nido is just what we needed for relaxing. Clean, spacious and the view is beautiful.

It wasn't luxurious, but we certainly weren't paying for luxuries either. The sunrise was beautiful. The shower is incredibly small and so is the fireplace, but we paid little, so we had to get by with little. The kitchen has no storage space for groceries, but we managed. Finally, an outside trash can is nowhere to be found. We paid really little and feel that we did get what we paid for, so we're not going to complain, we're just giving some guidelines. Good luck on your way forward.
House was neat and clean. They have everything and more that one needs for self-catering accommodation. We had a great time inside and outside on the stoep!
We recently went as a large family group to celebrate my mother's 50th birthday in Clarens, booking with Picolo Nido was the best choice ever! The house is great, enough space for everyone, has everything you could need, the most beautiful view of the mountains, close enough to all the shops to just walk and the house was clean and tidy. Next time we will definitely stay there for longer!
On arrival the house was spotless and with it being winter, there were more than enough heaters and warm blankets to help us out. The kitchen was perfectly stocked, the shower water always warm and we really did feel so safe. The views we woke up to every morning were incredible and it’s really so conveniently located to all the attractions in Clarens. We will definitely be back!
All negative are the keys. It just needs to be made clear for which key fits which lock. The lock and door are difficult to open and close if you have large hands entering from the car park.
Make provision (bring your own) for food and other basic necessities.
My wife and I had a wonderful rest at Picolo Nido. The beautiful view of the mountains was definitely a highlight. It is also within walking distance of most shops and restaurants. We will definitely come again and bring the family next time.
Even though you are travelling, you are excited to get back to the accommodation as the view is breathtaking. The place was incredibly tidy and accessible. I will definitely return.

Lovely town and picturesque Golden Gate.
The house overlooks the mountain - very scenic brings a lot of calm in the area. The hiking trails is very beautiful with streams of water capturing the beauty of the forest. On top of the mountain which overlooks the entire town, the dam as well as the mountain far beyond. It was just perfect, we got more than we came for.

The beds were still as the previous guests had left them, the shower's plastic mat can be cleaned.

Picolo Nido was the nicest house with the most beautiful views. We had a nice time in the cold winter.
The place certainly met all our requirements, everything you need is there: more than enough crockery, pots and pans, cutlery, 2 large fridges, lovely heaters in every room together with warm blankets to drive away the cold evenings. The nice big porch with its fantastic view of the mountains was the most amazing experience of all - no houses in front of you blocking the view, just wanted to hang out on the porch all the time!

Quiet, place to relax.
The 6 of us had a great weekend! We enjoyed the accommodation, quite adequate for eight people! We also enjoyed the peace and quiet! The bird life was exquisite with birds that sing throughout the day! We would definitely recommend this to others.
The house is okay, but not much space for the number of people it sleeps. The kitchen is tiny and cramped. In addition this there was no hot water. It was lukewarm at best. Would definitely not stay there again.
Only the main road is tarred, the rest is gravel roads, and they're not all smooth. A low vehicle won't work here.
It's outside walking distance with small children from the town. Security is not good. Opening and closing gates and locks is inconvenient and unsafe. The place has a nice view and larger groups will enjoy the view and the veranda. There is no theme in the house and everything is cobbled together from second-hand furniture, cups and cupboards. Eskom's loadshedding also did not help much to light up the area on coming home in the evening. Struggling with locks in the dark ─ not recommended. The place was not clean.
Wonderful accommodation that is clean and neat for an ideal getaway to Clarens!
We will go again, it was very nice.
We had a lovely stay, ten people - from 10 to 74 years! Despite the cold front, everyone slept warmly (electric blankets, a lot of ordinary blankets) and nobody ever had to take a cold shower or bath. Picolo Nido is well-equipped, walking distance from shops and restaurants - definitely good value for money!
We enjoyed the stay. Was in a quiet area - no noise of traffic and other guests. Close to the town centre, nice 5 minute stroll away. The house was equipped with heaters and warm blankets for the beds. Nice and practical little aga stove in sitting room to provide more heat as it was cold in Clarens.
