6 guests' feedbackThis was not a guest house, but rather a family farm where you quickly became part of two beautiful people's family - and dogs. We took dinner and breakfast and both my daughter and I are vegetarians, but that didn't put Ana-Maria off. She prepared delicious meals for us and did not deprive the men of meat. The communal dining/braai room was a welcome relief after every day's flower viewing. The rooms were super neat and the bed simply fantastic! Farm Windhoek is beautiful and we were sorry we couldn't stay another day longer to explore the farm ourselves, but it's definitely on our "bucket-list" for a next time.
Particular hospitality and warmth.
Our current experience far exceeded expectations. The description does not give the full picture. We did not expect too much, as it is stated on the web page, but in reality we spent two very pleasant days at Plaas Windhoek. The shared kitchen was also good as we were able to meet other travelers and hear their experiences in Namaqualand. Our room included a small kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and two-plate stove, but we hardly ever used it.
Farm located in front of access to Namaqua Park. The farm background is against beautiful granite mountains. Cornelius and Ana-Maria go out of their way to make you feel at home. Wonderful people.
Quiet farm environment with friendly hostess.
There was a lot of hospitality and the climb of the hill has a beautiful view of Kamieskroom. Not recommended for longer than one night, as facilities are limited. There are cooking utensils, but no cooking facilities or fridge in the room, like the photo on your website.
