This owner-run lodge set in lovely surroundings caters primarily to groups or business guests with commitments in the area. We are not a party venue. There is ample off-street parking.
We can sleep up to 50 guests. Accommodation at Pleasant Waters comprises of one 4 bedroom 8 sleeper flat, four superior chalets, three standard chalets, and two budget dormitory units that can sleep 6-8 persons each.
All units have their own access with either a private kitchenette or a shared communal kitchen and have either an en-suite or access to a separate communal bathroom in the same unit. In addition, all units contain free Wi-Fi, the Internet, a TV with selected DStv channels, air-conditioning (superior chalets only), or a portable fan.
For guests who prefer meals prepared for them; a pre-packed breakfast, lunch, or dinner can be arranged for an extra cost. The lodge also features a communal dining and social hall with a dartboard and snooker table, a social lounge, a swimming pool, and braai facilities at an entertainment area.
For the corporate traveller; conference facilities and a venue are available to hire. Secure parking is available as well.
Pleasant Waters is ideally situated within a 5 km radius from Ansteys Beach, Bluff National Park Golf Course, Durban harbour south-side; approximately 15 km from uShaka Marine World and the Durban ICC, to name but a few attractions.

Perhaps Pleasant Waters could just pay attention to possibly putting railings on the stairs. My parents are both elderly and have difficulty walking up the stairs. There is only one set of about 2 or 3 stairs to the large chalet, but a railing would be handy. Both showers in the large chalet are also a bit difficult for the elderly to get in and out of because there are steps to the showers.
We decided to come back 2 days earlier. On arrival the crockery was so dirty we had to wash everything before we could use it, the egg was still sitting on the plates. On Christmas day, a van full of people arrived as visiting guests for one of the couples who were booked in as day visitors. They drank until after 12 in the evening, we almost couldn't sleep because of the noise. No one silenced them. There was also a large group of working people who hung their laundry and underwear all over the benches and chairs, making it so uncomfortable to sit there, they drank heavily every night and played their music very loudly. I will not go to them again nor recommend them. We decided on them precisely because their rules were strict, but they were only on paper. We felt out of place and decided to drive instead and look for other accommodation.
