Very pleasant, owner very accommodating, sent us a message informing us of load shedding changes and asking if we required him to start the generator. With an indoor area where we could sit and chat. During load shedding, WiFi, TV, and some lights were available. He allowed us more time to leave on the Sunday - very decent of him as we had a fishing competition until 2am Sunday morning; that extra sleep was great. One minor thing that we were not expecting: we usually find coffee, tea, milk, and sugar available when we visit the West Coast for our fishing competitions. Fortunately, there is a brilliant coffee shop on the main road well worth a visit.

I think Plottie's name could be changed to "Plot" since the place is so big! We had a great time and will definitely go to Plottie again. We were very disappointed when we heard it was going to be 4 hours of loadshedding on a Saturday night, but with Andre's help and equipment the hours flew by. The children were very excited because they could still watch TV while the power was actually off. Thank you very much, Andre. See you again soon.

We had a nice stay. House is nice and spacious for a family with children. Braai place was convenient and we had a good time there. Nicely set up for load shedding. Owner is very helpful and friendly. Would stay there again anytime.

The house is comfortably spacious enough for a group of 10 that being said you are confronted constantly with issues, you hang your keys on the key hook it falls off the wall, you open the curtains the rails fall off, you open a window the handle comes off, no two windows can be opened at the same time that is if you lucky to get it open, the wooden frames are so swollen it is a shove and pull battle each time. No keys in the bathroom doors. No portable lights for during loadshedding, requested assistance. Had trouble with WiFi, request assistance. The one fridge leaked every time after load shedding we had to mop each time, made the owner aware of this. The one television was not working, we requested assistance. No cleaning products. The house was definitely not deep cleaned by a cleaning crew before we arrived. The first bathroom geyser only gave us cold water after only being there for 2 days, the owner claims that someone must have switched the geyser off. The venue needs lots of TLC and really not worth the R5K per night. If you choosing this venue bring along your own cleaning products, dishwashing liquid, portable lights, toilet paper (only four rolls for a group of ten), black bags, lots of data on your phone and a cordless drill would also serve you in good stead. And a gas stove, no alternative provided for when it is load shedding and lastly a healthy dose of optimism.

It's a very nice house to go on holiday with a group of friends, your family or just family. It is definitely kid-friendly and convenient for everyone. We will definitely stay there again. The owner and his daughter are very friendly and easy to make arrangements with. They also make sure that you have a comfortable and stress-free stay.
The house is very big and the location is lovely, we could walk to the beach and it's easy to get to the promenade's starting point. The bedding and bathrooms were spotless, but the rest of the house hadn't been properly cleaned in a long time. The windows that cannot open properly make the house feel stuffy. With a little effort, the house can become a lovely holiday home.
Only 2 toilet rolls were available and we were a group of 12. We had to buy our own toilet paper, washing up liquid and sponges to clean. The braai facilities were available. The house offers a nice atmosphere. None of our breakage money has been refunded to us yet and it's already almost 2 weeks later after we didn't physically break anything in the house over the whole weekend, because we took our own glasses with us precisely to prevent breakage.
The wind just blows through it. It also leaked a lot in the hallway and on the porch where we have to hang out. I think they should fix the place first and take out all the old stuff and rent it out to the people. It smells very stuffy in the house. I know it might be the wood. There isn't even a decent broom and shovel that's right. Even fewer real winter blankets we could sleep with. It looked like old floor cloths.
Plottie was perfect for our needs. Safe place for dogs in courtyard. Nicely surprised with the sea view from the living room and how close it is to the sea.
Enough space, everything was nice and clean and then we could have a nice barbecue and visit.

Plottie was great. The house is nice and big and the rooms are nicely spread out with plenty of sleeping space. The braai area is very nice to relax and the sea is within walking distance from the house. There were some problems: The internet is extremely slow and you can't do anything with it as well as only 1 GB of data means for the weekend but nothing especially if there is a large group, I will of course uncapped and a better speed is recommended, however, we are already in 2019 and I'm sure many guests are looking for something like this, especially to keep the children busy every now and then in the evenings. The microwave did not heat at all, no matter what setting we used. The tumble dryer warmed up a bit, but didn't spin at all so our clothes couldn't get dry, but we only realized this after we washed them. The main bathroom door has problems if you lock it from the inside you can't get it open again, a few of our people got stuck which meant we had to get the key from the other side of the house to the window and back to come and have trouble unlocking from the outside. There are other appliances in the kitchen that didn't work well either, but we worked around it and had a nice weekend. I will certainly be back once the above is sorted out and I am sure more people will also choose the accommodation in the future if it is sorted out. Thank you very much

Very quiet and large space for large family with children and small children. Amenities were very comfortable, however accommodation could do with a bit of renovation. Everything else 100%.
Everyone in our party agreed that the place needs a good cleaning and that certain elements such as cracks and wooden windows need to be replaced. We couldn't even open windows for fresh air because the wooden frames were falling apart. Cupboards, drawers, carpets, floors, etc. needs a proper cleaning. We often rent through the website, but this was the worst unit we have ever lived in.
Upon our arrival, the paint that is falling off the walls created a bad impression. The crockery in the cupboards was dirty and we had to wash everything. The dishwasher had with glasses and water already stinking. The previous tenants spilled in the fridge and it was left like that. In the oven stood a dirty frying pan. The carpets are dirty even the loose mats that are thrown over the dirty spots, perhaps a wash. Upon our arrival, one had a number 2, when he flushed the toilet everything pushed back. We called the owner and his answer was that he would not be able to get hold of anyone on a Friday night. On Saturday, someone came to look, he just said with the start that he was not a plumber, and guess what, he could not fix the toilet. We had to sit there all weekend with a number 2 in the one bathroom. The other bathroom's geyser did not heat up again, as a result, we all had to shower in the bathroom with the number 2 in the toilet. The owner did let us know outside in the square is another room with a toilet, but when we unlocked it, a sign read "please don't open the taps" on the taps. About 50% of the home's windows cannot open. Some of the windows do not close so there is a permanent pull in the rooms. I really feel that it was not value for my money. The layout of the house is very nice, but the owner will really need to renovate the house. I would not recommend Pottie at all.

Plottie is a practical house, located close to all the attractions. It has all the amenities and is well equipped.
A very nice spacious and fully equipped house. Close to shops, beach and exit points in the area. Owner of the house is also very helpful and friendly.
The location of the house is good. My first problem was the WiFi and DStv, the advertisement does not tell the truth about the advantages that the place has. Only when the deposit is paid, then all the disappointments come. The house is not very clean. The curtains, in one of the bedrooms were broken, the bedding in another bedroom was dirty, the other bedding that was provided smelled bad. The stove in the kitchen only has two plates that work. Not enough toilet paper was provided for 16 people, there was hand wash in the bathrooms, but the containers were empty. We did not have access to the DStv and WiFi the first night and only late on the second night were we able to use the television and the WiFi. We as family and friends were not impressed with the place and did not get value for our money. We will therefore never use Plottie again. I also request that the advertisement should be the true reflection of the place and at the moment it is not.

As a family we really enjoyed our time there, especially the kids. The beach is walking-distance from the house and the area is safe. Had a lovely time and will definitely recommend it.
Our weekend was very nice at Plottie, everything was in place, bedding was tidy and clean and André could sort out any problem we encountered.
I had a wonderful weekend with friends in Struisbaai at Plottie. The house has everything and more. I was very impressed with the DStv. We could watch rugby and chill by the fire. I will recommend this house to a big group of people as there is enough places to sleep for everyone (14). We were just 11. My next outing to Plottie will be during the summer. Thanks very much for a wonderful birthday weekend and thanks to Andre who helped me so much.
Everything was perfect about Plottie. It's a comfortable place and what we loved most of all was the view of the sea and to wake up with the sound of the waves was the greatest of all! It was really a perfect weekend!
