Rietondale Lodge fulfilled all my expectations. Clean and tidy rooms and a delicious, cozy restaurant with excellent value-for-money food. The lodge also has no loadshedding, which puts it just a touch above the rest.
The room was very neat and as requested a one bedroom, it was cleaned to satisfaction, also refreshed for the evening.
The room is small but comfortable. Bathroom is adequate. Good value for money.

Management was friendly and helpful, but room cleanliness could improve a lot.
The restaurant was closed six months ago, so there was no breakfast or shop on site, even though this was advertised on the lodge page. The customer service at the front desk was very poor; they did not provide us with any information about the lodge or how things work. Additionally, they were only present for a few hours at a time. They forgot to inform us that they lock the front entrance early in the afternoon, around 4pm, but luckily some other guests were there to show us how to get in. The Wi-Fi was very unreliable. The location was a bit inconvenient as the shops were quite far and there was only one café within walking distance.
Extremely helpful and accommodating staff.
Will stay there again, clean and tidy. Friendly welcome.
