We overnighted there for the second time in 2 weeks. Everything was what we expected. The room was spotless and had everything that is needed for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the little restaurant on site surrounded by animals and birds. We appreciated the cold beer in an "ice cold" mug on a hot day after a long trip, and the food and service were also very good.

Also received information from the host all the time after I let them know they were stopped at Grenspos. Very good service. This is a must for overnight stays on the long roads of Namibia. The cottage was fully equipped for self-catering. The sleeping facilities were brilliant with an incredible mattress for a great night's rest. The bathroom and shower were spacious and sparkling clean. The on-site restaurant makes it convenient so you don't have to look for a place to eat. Both the staff of the resort and the restaurant were friendly and helpful.

It appeared as if it had been standing a bit too long. But everything else was great! We were received very kindly when we checked in and throughout our stay the staff were very friendly. The padstal had awesome pizza, nice petting zoo n fun play area for kids. Very exciting for kids. On arrival we were refunded N$160 becuase the we were booked in on lekker slaap as 6 adults instead of 4 adults 1× 3 years old n 1x under 1 year. There was zoom provided but we would have prefere there not to be cockroaches or spiders. The baby couldnt sleep and kept scrathing and itching so we did not have good nights rest. There was also no hot water available during our stay. I had to shower my 7 month old baby in cold water. We did report the cold water to reception but n didnt return as promised. We had fun at the play area and the pool.

We stayed one night at the River Chalets Mariental on our way to Henties Bay from Cape Town. The tent accommodation was excellent and comfortable. At the gate of the accommodation there is a restaurant that makes ice-cold Tafel beers and very tasty food, feel free to try them.

Our unit had everything we needed, plus a great shower.
The reason for the four stars is that I asked for a three-bed chalet and got two chalets instead. One double bed and one with three beds. By the time we were in our rooms, I was too tired to argue about that and left it that but it cost me R550 extra. Otherwise, the hospitality was wonderful. The rooms clean and the restaurant up to par where we could relax, enjoy a good meal and enjoy the friendly service. . The overnight stay was restful and secure. Will definitely check in again. This time, just making sure about the beds.

Beautiful, well maintained, very clean. Staff is friendly, warm and helpful. The facility is spacious and uncluttered, units are well spaced out. There are a large variety of fowl and some horses as well as a few buck freely roaming, which is delightful. So if you have a high drive dog it needs to be kept on leash. There is also a small petting zoo with an amazing variety of animals and a small restaurant in walking distance that serves fresh and tasty food at very reasonable prices. The only drawback (which is at the same time a bonus if you had a long day on the road) is that it is right next to the B1, so if you are a light sleeper the night traffic can be a bother.
Made a nice fire. Good overnight stop on the way to Henties.
Especially suitable for people with children.
River Chalets in Mariental is one of the places that does not cause problems. Ask others for help and all the answers are there and help is immediately available. The owner is calm and full of advice.
The people made a lot of effort to give us a braai area with crockery to braai, because our room didn't include it.
