Never met such a wonderful and friendly host as Elize. The place is nice, extremely clean and quiet. Everything is in good order and wonderfully arrange. Did not run short of anything, from teaspoon to Netflix, warm, comfortable and cuddly bedding. But I think I am running now short of words. Me and wifey celebrated our anniversary but I feel like celebrating everything there, all year long. Tranquillity is an understatement. Keep it up Elize, Rocky Aloe Lodge is my therapy. Love it!

Always an awesome time to spend time at Rocky Aloe Lodge, the breakfast is great we always look forward to the delicious food for breakfast and it's so appetizing, the sound of lions roaring is at night is good and the singing of the bird's a warm welcome to our ears, the gardens are amazing and braai venue a hit. I strongly recommend this lodge to anyone who's looking for a breath taking weekend getaway. The ambience at this lodge is to die for. Chalets are immaculately clean and the African inspired interior is out of this world. I'm definitely going back this festive season. Charlene is the best host and the only customer centric person to engage with. Elize should refrain from engaging with travellers, I didn't like her hostility at all. I give her a 5 star rating.
If you want to get away from the city, get some peace and quiet.
We were very kindly welcomed by Elize, after which we were shown around the premises. The unit was lovely with a view over the Krugersdorp Wildlife Park. The area is very quiet and peaceful and definitely somewhere where you can relax. Everything is very private, ideal for a getaway with your companion. The day we left, we were also spoiled with a very nice farm breakfast. I would happily recommend Rocky Aloe Lodge to anyone in need of a nice getaway.

We've been to quite a few places in in the area, and honestly this place stands out. Beautiful and relaxing with an amazing few of the game reserve. The cottages are well designed and you feel at home as you walk in. The lady that runs the place really knows what she is doing, and she makes the most incredible breakfast! Will 100% come back again.
This is my husband and I's 2nd time there after 10 years and we are amazed at how it just got even more beautiful there. We stayed again in one of the front houses and really enjoyed it. Elize is a very pleasant person. Their breakfast was once again top notch. We were able to relax incredibly well. My suggestion (which we do), turn off the TV and enjoy nature and each other's company. Take a book you've always wanted to read and enjoy the silence. Just take a lot of candles with you for the evening, it creates a nice atmosphere on the porch outside and in the house.
Our accommodation was very well furnished and organised. The lodge is centrally located enough to enjoy all the surrounding offerings of the Cradle. The hostess made our visit special with little treats. Definitely a lovely holiday. Teens could enjoy Netflix.

Most romantic, quick getaway spot at very affordable rates.
We enjoyed it very much, it's so quiet and peaceful. But best of all was the nice coffee in the morning, I was just about to put the kettle on for coffee, when there was someone at the door with freshly made filter coffee. And after a while breakfast that was made with so much trouble was delivered. It really surprised me!
I’d prefer to have supper and a breakfast at a designated area which is not the case at Rocky Aloe Lodge! No dinner at all!

It is a beautiful place and very clean. Welcoming and greeting the guests was very bad and the entrance to the lodge does not look great ─ it needs a lot of work. The email said that coffee at will be at 7am and breakfast at 8am, but coffee was at 8am and breakfast at 9am. We were awake before 6pm for no reason. Apart from that it was very nice and tidy. Food was delicious.

The breakfast on the veranda was also delicious. There was a function so we couldn't use the pool which was a shame but it was still very nice. There are not many options for restaurants near the lodge. One has to drive into town. The visit was definitely worth it because the room which was so beautiful and the breakfast.

What a breath taking away experience that we had for the weekend. everything was just so perfect! The reception, scenery overlooking the game reserve and being woken up by lions roaring in the early hours of the morning was just an experience of a lifetime! We will definitely visit again.
I would really recommend Rocky Aloe Lodge, it feels like going on a second honeymoon, ideal for newly married couples. The breakfast served is top notch and especially because they bring it to your doorstep and you can enjoy it in the comfort of your own home or even the patio. It's absolutely worth every penny.
We enjoyed our stay and nearly decided to extend. The 2 sleeper units are beautifully decorated and equipped. Would suggest a little more emphasis on the fact that there is not any restaurant/ food facility on the premises. Maybe a direct suggestion to bring along pre-packaged food which can just be warmed in the microwave. It is understood that cooking in the accommodation facilities is not encouraged but maybe a common area could be made available for this purpose?
What an incredibly romantic place. The honeymoon suites are to be dreamed of. Every item in the suite has been selected with care and the decor is of excellent quality. No penny was spared to give THE BEST to their guests. The breakfast (picnic basket) that looks like it came out of a cooking show is served on your own patio while you look out over the nature reserve and enjoy the early morning sun.
