It's a beautiful place. Just ask about the road before you drive there - farm road. Keep your shoes on for the thorns and enjoy nature. The kayaks kept my kids busy on the water for hours - watch out for snakes cooling off in the water. There is a variety of birds to look at. The owners are lovely. I happily recommend Roodegrond River Camp for accommodation.
The camp site is very neat and clean. The atmosphere is peaceful.

We loved our stay at Roodegrond. Ablution new and neat. Would visit them again.
It was very nice. I wish we could fish more, but the water is very brown. Apparently from the Karoo water that washed through. The water is usually transparent. In any case, it was very nice. The people are very friendly and the atmosphere is special. 10/10 great!
Dirt road to the campsite a bit rough, but my loaded Polo was able to get there safely over the rocks. Friendly people! Stand is beautiful. Ablution block is perfectly arranged! Far enough from everything but close enough to interesting things, such as e.g. Kougadam (dirt road), +-60 km from Jeffreys Bay, etc. Picturesque background of the mountains, fields with citrus and potatoes, etc. Definitely value for money! And I'm going again next December.
