The "safe" parking is on the open sidewalk. The room and bathroom are extremely small and basically open plan, so there is no privacy if two people share. The room is advertised as self-catering, but there is only a kettle, microwave and small fridge. The bed is against the wall where the "multiplug" is to turn on the bedside lights (the ceiling light in the room doesn't work), so the wall plugs and lights are against your head when you're lying on the bed. There is no backup for electricity in case of "loadshedding". The room was neat and clean, but I would only be able to recommend the accommodation to a single traveler who only needs a bed.

We were in Hoopstad to attend a wedding. Our room was beautiful and tidy. We recommend the guest house to anyone visiting Hoopstad. Will definitely come here again if we stay in Hoopstad.

We have stayed at other places around Hoopstad before, but wanted to try something new. The hostess was excellent and we were allowed to get the keys early in the morning. We only stayed the night (came back at 10 pm only), but the place was neat and tidy (and modern). Hot water, fresh towels, TV (with some DSTV channels). Air-con was working 100%. 3 small dogs greeted us the evening and the morning. Got woken up by their parrots in the morning (lovely sounds to listen to - much better than traffic or sirens like in the city). Would needless to say overnight at this guest house any time! You really get what you pay for. No need to look at other accommodation facilities in Hoopstad.

If I ever have to go back to Hoopstad, I'll definitely stay there again.
I booked a double bed but found two three quarter beds there. They should have communicated the change with me beforehand. I assumed that there would be DSTV available for that price, which was not the case.
