The property offers a wonderful view of Walkerbay. It is a wonderful place to relax and recharge your batteries. The environment is quiet and safe. There is more than enough hiking trails and a safe beach for the kids within walking distance of the apartment. During Whale Season, June to November, guests can view the whales playing in the ocean right in front of the units.
The downstairs apartment comprises 2 en-suite bedrooms. The rest of the house is very seldom occupied when there are guests staying. The first bedroom contains a queen-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower and a bath. The second bedroom contains 2 single beds and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower. Both bedrooms have unobstructed views of the ocean and mountains. In the living area is a sleeper couch. The apartment has Wi-Fi and air-conditioning in all the rooms.
The living area is open-plan and the kitchenette contains a fridge, a microwave, 2 stove plates, crockery and cutlery. The lounge has comfortable couches and a TV. There is a large patio in front of the apartment with a splash pool for the sole use of the guests and a gas braai or a charcoal braai. Unlimited WiFi is available.
The apartment is accessible by 24 wide steps going down to the side of the house.

Friendly, welcoming and attentive hosts. They kept us updated and well informed before and during the stay. The place was beautiful and peaceful with a spectacular view.
Very cute place. Swimming pool was too nice to lie in and watch the sea. Breathtaking views. Very quiet and peaceful. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Blue Goose restuarant is definitely something to experience - food is very tasty. Will definitely go back again.
We had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The accommodation was 4 to 5-star. The owners took great care in ensuring that we had al the comforts and luxuries we required. We basically only needed to bring our clothes, food and beverages. And to top it all the view of the ocean was breathtaking. The owner was also very hospitable.

Royal Albatros has an incredible view of the sea and rocks. It was very nice clean and tidy. It is very private and nice and quiet. We would love to go again.

The weekend was absolutely fantastic. Special thanks to Linda for being so courteous, organising the keys and a quick tour of the apartment on arrival, also popping by to check whether we were still enjoying our stay. The place itself is very nice and clean, even if we went there in the middle of winter, it was very nice and warm indoors and you can still have the full view of the ocean. The booklet on the table was very helpful, especially when we wanted to use the gas braai. I must add, my fiance wants a gas braai for Christmas. We will most definitely stay at Royal Albatros again. Thank you very much for a memorable long weekend.

The view of Gansbaai from Royal Albatros is unmatched. I have never seen a view so beautiful. It was such a tranquil experience. My family didn’t even have to speak words to feel what we felt stating at Royal Albatros. The house is spectacular! My sister kept going on about the shower. (We are from Cape Town and have implemented the bucket system since talks of Day Zero began) so to us that in itself was a luxury. I said to Deon, who welcomed us, the pictures posted does not do the view justice. We stayed over for the weekend and on Sunday, we didn’t want to return to our regular lives. I hope we get to visit again soon. Thank you Adriaan for opening up your home to us. What a blessing! The place doesn’t lack a thing.
We had a nice time. Braai facilities need attention. Safety was a factor - a lockable gate can be installed at the stairs to the apartment, as well as a gate that can be locked at the stairs going down to the rocks. Safety gates in front of sliding doors. Many lights were out of order.
Steps are good exercise. Pool ideal for sundowners. The view of the beach is amazing!
Thank you very much for a wonderful 3 days that was way too short. The lovely weather added to it because we were able to use the swimming pool in May. It is a beautiful place with facilities of a high standard. We will definitely stay there again.
