Room is very well equipped. Mrs Loock was a considerate and friendly hostess. The gentle lapping of the river over the rapids created a peaceful atmosphere and ensured a good night's rest.
We spent the night here with friends. We arrived late afternoon and were kindly received. The 2 units were extremely suitable each with its own kitchenette but with doors that close for privacy. The view of the river is beautiful and soul food after a long day on the road. Nothing came up short. Warm, clean bedding and bonus with milk in fridge.
What a great location! A stone's throw, yet safe, from the mighty Orange River in the tranquil silence of the Northern Cape. Here a city person can relax for weeks and just become human again! The friendly, professional service is genuine rural friendliness. Silver clean units with all the equipment you would have in your own home. RRG is definitely going to see me and this time also my spouse again!

We had a delicious barbecue with a wonderful view of the Orange River. We all had a great time and slept, but early in the morning everyone struggled with the showers. One moment blazing hot then set and then freezing cold again, couldn't find a happy medium. My Victorynox knife is still there, a pink one because their knives didn't cut well!

I really felt at home because of Glomarie's personal presence, kindness and attention to detail. She even checked on my safety while I was travelling to Prieska. One of the nicest bathrooms I've ever experienced with Lekkeslaap, and the sunrise over the Orange River in the morning, one can't beat it. If I'm ever in Prieska - I'll definitely stay again.

The kitchen, bathroom and toilet were all three separate, spacious rooms. Very neat. All I lacked was more kitchen accessories such as bread knife, spatula, etc.
A self-catering unit for two should not only have one chair for indoor dining. Mosquito netting on a riverside window should not have a hole in it. A neglected fishpond in front of the rooms must be frogless (croak). The walkway to room no 2 is very rough and uneven.
Everything we wanted was here. There were two three-quarter beds - one was acceptable, but the other should be "retired", but once you get your bed between the knobs, you sleep well! The Orange River was a nice bonus. Will definitely stay here again.

We battled slightly, even with GPS, to find the road on which RRG is located probably because it was dark at the time. The proprietor, when phoned, gladly guided us in and welcomed us personally. Lovely views of the river.

Gloumarie was an excellent hostess who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She has two luxury units next door, the small kitchen is ideal for preparing meals. She prepared the braai for us and we sat with the most beautiful view of the Orange River and watched the sunset! Their location is very safe, as is the parking. Except the dinner didn't work at all. Frozen farmer's food that is not enjoyable if, among other things, you cannot operate a microwave oven. Recommend that one gets more clarity on what to expect for dinner. The breakfast package was good.
