Very nice. It was terribly hot and the air conditioner was a pain. Unfortunately, the one room's air conditioner did not work so well. Location is very good. Great place to eat, in the shopping center nearby.

Clean and comfortable. Aircon heater didn't work. Sign at reception says B&B, but no breakfast available. Braai available, but no crockery or cutlery.
We were told breakfast for the following day must be arranged before 14:00 - disappointing. The place looks like it used to be a top place that is being left to ruins. At least invest in a generator for loadshedding - even if it's just to provide lighting outside, because it gets quite dark.

My only criticism is that there were no kitchen utensils or crockery supplied.

We drove from Pretoria to Safari Travel lodge and the road was long. It was lovely to sit outside in our private little garden. The staff and the host are very friendly and very helpful. When you're away you don't want to stress about the logistics of your accommodation. This was exactly that.

The fact that it is slightly outside of Kuruman makes it a good place to spend the night. No. 14 needs attention in the bathroom, the ceiling is full of fungi and does not make a good impression. Room ceiling shows signs of water damage and although cosmetic, the room appears neglected in terms of maintenance.
Would just prefer more coffee and sugar.

Kuruman is definitely not a friendly place and you feel unwelcome and unsafe from the moment you drive into town. Would rather sleep in another town. Safari Travelodge is an affordable place to stay. The room was tidy, but if you provide a microwave, then also provide cutlery. If you provide bedside lamps, make sure they work. The lighting in the room is poor to begin with and then there are bedside lamps that don't work. Very disappointed. There is parking, but the property does not have a gate. We were restless all night, especially in a town where you don't feel welcome or safe.

They seem to have different rooms with different prices, but the pictures of the rooms look the same. Our room had no bedside cabinets and only cremora and was very old bedding. If they put the right photos in the right room, one can make an informed decision. For this reason, we will not stay here again.

There is a braai but no braai equipment or cutlery. The manager brought us cutlery on request. There was only one cup of coffee per person.
Arrived, the receptionist just wants us to pay immediately. Take us to chalet, sink is outside, no plates had to ask for it. No safe parking, gate is open. Air conditioning not working. No reply on reception. Will not stay there again.

If you look at Kuruman's town you would not think this place exists. It was lovely with TV and air conditioning and secure parking. Just needs a swimming pool and maybe a small shop on site, because you don't want to risk it in town, but I would definitely stay there again.

We chose the budget option. The rondavel was comfortably furnished and tidy. There was a fridge, microwave and coffee making facilities. The accommodation is in a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood. There were also braai facilities at our disposal. Reception was very friendly. The gardens are well maintained and the rondavel artistically painted outside.

The place is located a little off the main route to Upington, but still neat and comfortable.
The room was clean and tidy. For an overnight stop, Safari Travelodge was adequate.
The place is nice, but must say it was untidy. Need to add more towels/freshener on bathroom. Had to use one set for towels for wekend. Cleaners where nowhere to be seen and when guest leave make sure they clean because the room I had smelled like cigarettes and basin drain had no drain pipe system, water was all over at back of room and it smelled.
I will not visit Kuruman again. The town is untidy and very dirty. The guest house is in a quieter part of town, but it's almost impossible to go to shops without getting trampled. There are also warnings everywhere that this is a high crime area, so you never feel safe. I couldn't shake off Kuruman's dust fast enough and get out of there.
Room was neat but not at all what we expected or what is on their website. Have to drive back to Casino to eat even though they say they have a restaurant. No pool either. Will not stay here again.

Located out of the hustle and bustle, this themed Safari Travelodge was a comfortable stop for the night, close enough to the town and far enough that it still felt safe although the front gate seemed to be stuck open.

It is value for money, just a pity that you have to pay separately for breakfast. It's very neat although I think more could be done to the door slots to keep bugs out. Very safe I must say in a very quiet environment which I really appreciated after a long drive. Customer service was excellent. Room no 3 had no fridge facilities and was rather full of dust (only negative was room 3). Apart from that I enjoyed the sleepover and the rest of the group.

The place was easy to find, good air conditioning (which is essential in January), and very nice clean and tidy.
The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable.
Even though it is generally good value for money, I don't think the rooms are well planned and they are also not very well equipped. It is definitely not luxurious. Things like a bad reading lamp, swizzle sticks bending when you stir your coffee (then rather please use plastic spoons) and so forth really does no justice to your facilities.
Room was still not ready, and was really not the cleanest place we have stayed.
Needs a upgrade. Very rundown. The rooms are spacious enough, but a bit worn out. The toilet didn't flush properly. Lots of clutter outside. Service was good. Fine for a overnight stay.
There is a lot of mildew in the bathroom and in the room. The showerhead are broken and basically non- functioning and there was no bath. The linen is old and thin and not what you expect from a guesthouse. Look nice on the pictures, but not so nice when there. Situated at the end of town, far from all shopping and restaurants.

Definitely value for money!
Clean, nice and peaceful. The only thing I would recommend is that the 1-sleeper we booked had no microwave, adding one would be a benefit, and it would fit nicely on top of the fridge.
Although there were a lot of mosquitoes and the air conditioner didn't work, we would still recommend the lodge.

It is clean, tidy, comfortable! The only problem we encountered is the fact that the restaurant was closed and the lodge is quite a distance from town.
We loved the Safari Travelodge. It is very clean and tidy.
Although the restaurant was closed, they made the effort to open the bar and bring us drinks to the room. Room was clean and the bed comfortable. According to the management, the restaurant is only opened during the week because they are not fully booked on weekends. Apparently that changes in the new month.

The bed was comfortable and the facilities adequate. The room that we stayed in was painted with dark brown paint, the blinds are dark brown and the room is dark. The man who works in reception is friendly and did his best to make us feel at home, despite our initial surprise at finding him sleeping in the reception area. In the restaurant we noted that the breakfast items were still not put away when we went in to have dinner and the dining room creates a poor impression. We decided instead to eat at the local Spur.

Accommodation was reasonable. Maintenance problems we reported were quickly attended to. Unfortunately there was load shedding from 18:00 to 21:00. While we understand this is out of host's control, we would have liked to have flashlights/lamps.
No breakfast but B&B is clearly printed on the wall outside. Call and the phone is not answered. The site outside is pure red soil. At the reception office there was no one, although the door was open.
It was OK for one night.
The location is not in town, but there is a restaurant on site with very good food, so you don't have to drive. My arrival was a little disappointing as no one was in reception, but the stay was very nice and I would suggest if anyone is traveling through Kuruman to stay there.
I was unable to make any contact with anyone the afternoon we arrived. Landline and cell number just rang. Reception area had no lights when we arrived. Person on duty had to help us with flashlight. Bed makes noise when you turn over, shower drains and wash is blocked: water could not drain.
