Each chalet comprises an extra-length queen-size bed, a bathroom with a dual shower and free-standing bath, a cosy lounge area with fireplace, and a kitchen with a fridge, stove and microwave. Each chalet features an undercover patio with built-in braai facilities, overlooking the garden.
The century old trees surrounding the chalets provide shade for the external boma and braai area during the summer months, and shed their leaves in winter to create a warm and sunny atmosphere.
Guests are welcome to enjoy game drives through the farm, using their own vehicles. While the access road to the chalets is suitable for standard sedan vehicles, game drives will require a SUV or 4x4-type vehicle. The farm also conducts commercial livestock and maize agriculture activities.
The units are situated near a few activity-based facilities in the area as well. Henbase is ideal for weddings, swimming, braaiing, fishing, and hunting. Ingwe Lodge & Game Farm offers animal tours, conference facilities, game drives, fishing and a restaurant. Amersfoort Golfclub is perfect for a round of golfing and there is a restaurant as well. And Oppiplaaspadstal offers a bar and restaurant to patrons.

9 guests' feedbackA real surprise! Well appointed, including some basic supplies. Exceptionally beautiful setting. Peaceful with just the sounds of jackals, owls, blue cranes and frogs. Our dogs loved the open space too.
Such a lovely stay. The chalets are so beautifully decorated with an old-school farmhouse feel. The kitchen has everything you need and the indoor fireplace is a win for the chilly evenings! We took our two pups along and they had the time of their lives running around in the open space. It was so lovely to also not have to worry much about them, even though there is wildlife in the area they didn't come close to the chalet, probably as they sense the dogs are there. Would definitely love to go back!
Upon our arrival we were very kindly welcomed by Monica and Wikus. The destination is deep inside the farm, which gives a lot of privacy along with the most beautiful view. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. A lot of wood was provided with which we chatted until the morning hours. We also enjoyed fishing at the pond not too far from the house. I can only imagine how excited children would be to catch fish so quickly with their parents. This is quite an ideal destination to visit for a quiet getaway.

It was fun to some extent, but here's what we found. Things that bothered us: There were bees in the roof and we were only informed about it when we got there. My wife is allergic to bees, so this was a big problem for us. It was advertised as having a king size bed, so there was a double bed and the duvet cover set was too small for the given duvet. The braai is not in good condition. I couldn't set the grill because of the charcoal maker being bent. The plug in the tub does not have a rubber seal, so water runs out when you tap the water. It would be cool if there was a gas kettle with a whistle, the kettle we used on the gas stove burns your hand when the water is hot. We did not want to continue using the electric kettle because the grips on the electrical element. It then comes into your water every time you want to use the kettle. You can't wash it off either. Things we enjoyed: There is no one in sight, it was very nice to be able to enjoy nature. Our dogs were together and they could run around freely. There is plenty of space to walk. You can hear the nocturnal animals in the evenings. I suggest that the owner put up more pictures of the inside of the cottages.

The lodge is a piece of gold in the middle of the lowveld, it takes you away from the daily hustle and bustle of the city. It's an ideal place for a couple who wants to spend some alone time. The service is great and would definitely recommend the place.
