The pantry with the best jams, biscuits and other things to buy is too cute! If you want rest for the soul, then this is the right place for you. And the home baked bread is a bonus. Thank you, it was lovely, we will definitely come again.
Now that was a visit to remember. Thanks, for the surprises - and it was more than enough for the two of us! Even the cold weather (we were there just before the snow fell) didn't bother us, the indoor braai, as a fireplace, served its purpose. We will visit again.
This was definitely one of my best weekends away. I will go back to this amazing place.

Lovely, relaxed and private in the sole stay house on the property (other than the hosts' farmstead, a short walk through the bloekoms). Very well looked after by host. Spacious house, superbly equipped.

Stay: 23 December 2023 - 5 January 2024. An unforgettable 2 weeks! Thank you for the delicious treats we got so often; the quick drop-in visits and chats. The rest was undoubtedly soul-enriching. The milieu speaks volumes of unspoiled natural beauty and serenity. The farm ensured that each of us could relax and rest in his/her own way. It was a privilege to be able to get to the heart of creation. (An absolute blessing!). Unforgettable memories, moments to cherish and passionate joy and peace will always be part of the Sandvlei story in our hearts!
It was lovely. We didn't spend too much time at the house as we were attending a wedding. Only one suggestion for improvement is the shower. It suffers from low pressure.
Very comfortable with the hosts going the extra mile with lots of extra 'goodies' like freshly baked farm bread, butter, jams and rusks. It exceeded my expectations. Thank you for a wonderful stay and a wonderful experience.
From the beginning, the stay made us feel at home. The communication with Dorina was excellent and we couldn't wait to be there! What an incredibly amazing weekend. What an incredible surprise to walk into the house with a freshly baked bun, jams etc., as well as delicious home-baked cookies and rusks! We were a family of 3 adults and 2 kids (under 6). The children enjoyed the farm environment so much. For once they could run around and go without being worried. The farm is so safe and there really is so much for everyone to do. The children had the experience of feeding a giant lamb, taking out eggs and playing with their new friend, Bingo the sheepdog. The baby pigs were also an experience for them. The accommodation is very well furnished and you really don't need anything. Not even loadshedding could spoil one's fun. The kitchen really has everything one needs. The road from the Cape is beautiful and you can see the surroundings. We soon went to Montague on Saturday (about 50 km away), but what a beautiful road with the most beautiful surroundings. We will definitely visit there again. Thank you Dorina and Hennie for your hospitality and for sharing the surroundings with us. Thank you also for all the toys that the children were able to carry around so wonderfully!

We were 3 friends who participated in a shooting competition in the area and therefore booked at Sandvlei Kuierhuis to be able to spend the night. The reception was great. Friendly and helpful! The stay was great. Clean and tidy! The owner made us feel very welcome and even baked a fresh buttermilk bread to enjoy with our barbecue. We immediately booked again for a month later.
Great for relaxation. We did some cycling and running in the area. Stunning scenery if you take a drive to Montagu town (50 km).
This beautiful neat home is perched on the top of a little mountain with views for days. Very friendly host who accommodated our little requests - also appreciated the indoor fireplace and little to-buy pantry. We really were just looking for an overnight stay but this hidden gem is now on our radar as a must-return.
I like special places and am always looking for something different. Sandvlei Kuierhuis is great. The hostess is friendly and we immediately felt at home. She went out of her way to provide efficient service - on our arrival there was delicious freshly baked bread and the handmade products for sale were very special. I would stay there again anytime.
Everything is there. It's of good quality and it works. The fresh bread and shop are something special.

Sandvlei Kuierhuis was the perfect place for our family and exactly what we needed. The farm is safe and our two boys (5 and 7) could cycle for hours on the dirt roads, play with the rabbits, look around for 'treasures', open farm gates when we drove a short distance on the farm, look for sheds and bucks. It's quiet, the view over the fields and mountains and amazing cloud formations was really amazing. The house is comfortable and warm and has everything one needs. The hostess has an eye for detail and beauty and we immediately felt comfortable and welcome in the house. Everything from the freshly baked farm bread with homemade apricot jam to the mug of milk in the fridge, the crocheted blankets and cozy beds (with electric blankets!) to the packet of Panados in the bathroom made it a lovely family visit. I would definitely recommend Sandvlei Kuierhuis!

This is the perfect house to visit as friends/family in a nice big house. Beautiful surroundings, karoo silence and friendly landlords. The house is very neat and clean and definitely value for money.
We were welcomed by a wonderful host and was explained everything in detail. Cottage was wonderful and clean and had everything you needed for our getaway. The warm, fresh baked bread and jam and cookies was an extra plus. We will certainly return.
