SANParks Tamboti Tented Camp

SANParks Tamboti Tented Camp

Due to the size and location of this camp, Tamboti is one of the most popular camps in the park. A great feature is a communal boma braai area, which makes it ideal for small groups of people to gather around the campfire and relive the animal sightings of the day. For the birding enthusiasts, Tamboti offers a bird hide in which to spend hours looking for that exclusive raptor that has up to now eluded you. The natural bush feeling is kept inside the camp, which has the result of emphasizing guest privacy.
The Tamboti Tented Camp has 2 communal kitchens with 24-hour boiling water, electric hot-plates, and washing up facilities. 2 communal ablution blocks are available.

15 guests' feedbackWe had a nice stay, everything you need was there. I do suggest confirming to guests that there is no crockery and suggest they take a hot water bottle with them for morning coffee or gas stove and kettle. Everything was very nice, we had a great stay and had a great time.
Had a nice stay, just know the baboons are sometimes a problem.
I've been in Tamboti for the second time. It's amazing to sleep in a tent with the sound of frogs, monkeys, honey badgers. I love the place with all of my heart.
Love the place. We go there often when we get a chance. Clean facilities and never any problems except the rattles that go crazy at night to get into the bins, but that's part of the fun of staying there.
See stars.
One of my favourite camps. Well run. Toilets and showers spotless.
Nice stay, place needs a little attention, but if the little things like papers and empty bottles between the plants and bushes don't bother you, it's fine.
Neat tents and lots of game in and around the camp.
All equipment in tents must be replaced.
Will always go to Tamboti!
As usual SANParks went out of their way to make our stay worth going back. Definitely recommended.
This weekend was the best! Thank you.
Great stay, one of the more quiet camps.
Enjoyed our stay. Tent did not have cutlery, which we did not know in advance. When we booked in, we asked about it, the information was not given by the staff. We were able to rent cutlery @ R50.00. The camp is beautiful and clean, the tent is on the riverbank, stunning view. Unfortunately some of the toilets were leaking and with the water shortage, this is unacceptable. There should be a cheaper rate for South Africans wanting to stay in the Kruger, our Rand cannot compete with the foreign currencies.
The camp is well laid out with the tents just nicely spaced from each other to ensure your privacy. A shade net canopy like other camps, I would recommend to protect vehicle. The facilities are very clean and tidy.
