The room is very nice and modernly laid out, but we moved from Sea Castle 6 the next day. The unit has no braai area or veranda and is just above a restaurant. Your bags etc. must be assigned to the unit in front of the customers in the restaurant, I would not suggest the unit at all unless you only want to sleep over one night. Many thanks to the friendly and helpful agent who was able to move us immediately to Sea Castle 6, which is absolutely excellent. I will definitely holiday at Sea Castle 6 again.

"Weekend getaway with my wife."

Weekend getaway with my wife, but specifically wanted to use a centrally located place and Sea Castle 2 met all the requirements. Had a wonderful weekend and the large bath is a plus especially if your wife is obsessed with baths. Will definitely come back again.

"It was my first visit to Paternoster and it was fantastic."

The accommodation, the food, the people, everything and everyone was amazing. The people are so friendly and make you feel welcome. We will come back to Paternoster every year. Peace, joy, happiness and lots of love, all in one place.

"Cold, irritated and disappointed."

Interior was very nice and stylish but no view if the door is closed. The whole place reeked of smoke. No provision was made regarding heating. Although we used the fireplace according to instructions, it smoked so much that we had to put it out and open windows (despite the cold weather) to get smoke out. Furthermore, the place/kitchen was poorly equipped, towels smelled and there were problems with the water temperature (we had to shower in lukewarm water one of the days). Definitely not recommended in winter! We suggest the owner install a "jet master" or similar inside the existing fireplace.

The smell of smoke from the fire is very prominent and that's just when we got there. The area around the accommodation is very run down.

The venue itself was beautiful and cozy on the cooler days but also had beautiful views and cold proximity to the beach. Benguela Blue Restaurant was great to have right at our footsteps downstairs.

Security not very good - broke into car. Outside stairs and lower entrance door not very clean.

"Our first night it was a bit cold. The second night was much warmer because the fireplace. However, fireplace only made some smoke inside the room."

Parking and fireplace need some attention.

We had a very nice stay. The only problem is the fireplace didn't smoke well and the room got a little smoky.

We were very disappointed with the location because even though we were very close to the sea, we didn't feel safe walking. Parking was out of sight, which caused a bit of uneasiness to creep in. There was no problem with the apartment's amenities. Just be careful about making a fire inside the fireplace, as the room can quickly fill with smoke.

Sea Castle is very neat and modern. We felt at home. The location is perfect in the middle of town close to restaurants and the beach.

Convenient with a restaurant downstairs, but just a pity the "locals" are unpleasant in the evenings. Felt unsafe at times.

"Noise and position an issue."

I did not know that it was above a mini shopping centre which was very noisy in the morning, with music very loud. We also could not use the deck which was at the Sea Castle 1 Side as we were told it was booked, but we saw nobody and found that strange. We love Paternoster but I think when an apartment is above a few shops it would be important for guests to know.

A very bad experience, and a rip off. This is not a castle in any form and not worth the money. Don't let the pictures fool you. A single room freezer on the 2nd floor, bizarrely decorated ranging from retro refurbished to an industrial kitchen. A weird mish-mash of ornaments and furniture recovered from a garage sale. Probably the most disappointing are the 3 serviette sized windows which shows limited view of an adjacent rooftop. No sea view here. In an unventilated corner a not so private toilet. A military style shower with no taste industrial style plumbing. The cement slab work space is probably more useful in an abattoir. No shelves. The picnic bench in the kitchen is ridiculously useless. All hours barking by neighbourhood dogs. Bring your own earmuffs. No TV or WiFi or any sound equipment available. Bring your own, definitely not for a quiet weekend in Paternoster. It is unlikely that the owners ever slept here themselves

We had a wonderful stay there - it's a particularly beautiful part of the world! Have a good time everywhere, there are a lot of awesome people, activities, restaurants where we were, delicious food!! Beach is beautiful and peaceful. Really can't say anything negative about Sea Castle / Paternoster - would only suggest 2 things: Would only ask for more than 2 large bath towels and clean bed linen - we were there for 5 nights and the white bed linen gets dirty - and nothing tastes better than fresh linen and towels!
