A very serene stay. The hosts ensured we were comfortable throughout the stay. Swimming pool, own braai area, and own washing line. Cottage and linen provided were very clean. You will love the ensuite bedroom. Was starved of sports though. Wish DStv was at least compact. The only attitude we encountered was the weather: gloomy for much of our stay.

Problems with parking, locked out of premises one night, no coffee, sugar, soap or towels. Microwave was not working properly and food was stolen from the unit.

Serenity has a beautiful view not only of the sea, but also of the garden. The owners are very nice and make you feel right at home, they are truly genuine people. My kids say it looks like a fairy garden.

We really enjoyed our stay at Serenity, it was neat, clean and tidy and absolutely beautiful, not to mention good value for money with a great view of the ocean. I would recommend Serenity to anyone travelling to Scottburgh.
We arrived there late in the evening, were kindly received and immediately felt at home. Bryan and Lorraine are two nice people. Will go there again.

Serenity Cottage is a very neat self-catering flat. It is affordable and everything you need was there. There is safe parking behind a lockable gate. We went scuba diving and the location was perfect, very close to the scuba operators. I can wholeheartedly recommend it to people who'd like to visit Scottburgh.

It's a great place to stretch out. Serenity Cottage is truly very well equipped. Clean, tidy and centrally located. I would recommend it. We stumbled upon Serenity Cottage via the web and were blown away by the look and feel, price, location and also with the friendliness of both Lorraine and Brian (the owners) during our holiday. The cottage is situated in an upmarket location in Scottburg and is spacious enough for a small family of 4 (where 2 would be kids or teens as they sleep on a double bunk bed). We loved the garden and the setting and the ability to lock up and go out for daily excursions. The only negative item would be that the pool is not fenced off so that can be an issue for toddlers who can't swim yet and that some of the plants have sharp thorns on them, but this generally did not influence our 2 week stay at the cottage. We will definitely be back again!

I would not want to stay there for a longer period, but it was fine for an overnight stay.
Lovely, peaceful and quiet. Brian and Lorraine are two beautiful people. I will stay there again anytime. I would just maybe suggest that while they are currently doing renovations, they maybe put up a shaded netting for cars as well. I might be a bit of a pain, but the only thing I missed was protection for my car.

Excellent value for money and among the top 5 places we have stayed in the past few years. We tour regularly for those who may think we are content with little. We will definitely drive the extra 50-60 km to go home here.

The stay at the cottage was wonderful. The cottage is fully equipped for 4 people including the items the we usually forget like dishwashing cloths and handy andy. If I could change one thing it would only be to secure the swimming pool for younger children for just that peace of mind if they play outside. But regardless, I would definitely recommend the cottage to friends.
