The area is well-known for fantastic tiger fishing opportunities, as well as Nembwe and other predatory bream species.
Since the houseboat is situated on the river, transfers by boat are available from the Muchenje River Lodge to the Shamwari Houseboat or from the Kasane water border to the Shamwari Houseboat.

The houseboat acts as a floating lodge and does not move unless arranged at an additional cost.A laundry service is available for guests' convenience.
A tender boat and a guide can be arranged on request, however, guests are required to pay for the petrol usage.
Please note that there is no card payment facilities on the houseboat and therefore, any payments should be done in cash or via EFT.
