The owner was friendly and made my partner feel welcome on arrival. The unit was comfortable and spacious, except for the limited bathroom space. The owner gave us a bigger unit at no additional cost, and the view was breathtaking. The owner accommodated us when we requested an early check-in time, which we appreciated.
It's the best place because it's walking distance to the beach. I like the view from my room.

The unit 3 that we stayed in, the shower was leaking, this led to the bathroom being full of water after each shower taken. This was really a mission as we had to use multiple towels to soak up all the water. When there is loadshedding, there is absolutely no signal. Please maybe invest in a UPS. This is a power bank for the WIFI and keeps the WIFI on during loadshedding. Please be advised the door handle for the bathroom was broken, just a hazard if there are children in the unit. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you. We are looking forward to many more stays.
Rooms were neat and cleanliness was good. Staff were very nice and received us in Afrikaans. The accommodation is close to the sea (walking distance) and facilities such as a mall and places to eat are literally a stone's throw away.
The rooms were spacious and it was nice that there were 2 bathrooms. We stayed in the garden view unit. There are lots of stairs to get there but it's not too bad. The location is great as it is right next to the beach. Would recommend.
The beach was unfortunately incredibly busy in the middle of December.
Stay was pleasant. Units clean and well equipped. The fans helped tremendously with the stifling heat of Durban. Megan is a very pleasant hostess and an absolute pleasure to share with.

The house is very clean. The cleaning staff and Margen are friendly and easy to communicate with. It felt like I was at home. it is a walking 5 minutes distance from the beach.

I specifically booked 4 bedrooms for 4 adults bit you guys inly booked me 2 bedrooms. I had put this request on my booking, but it was ignored.
Meg and Deon were amazing hosts. The accommodation was cleaned daily by the most friendly staff, the rooms and kitchen are well stocked for self catering and the place is centrally located. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a break away.
The time there was very good we enjoyed our time. We will definitely return, the service was great and very tidy.
One issue was that there was no water some days with low water pressure. Establishment did not offer to supply water, had to buy our own. The bed is of poor quality, after the second night my wife and I both had sore lower backs. The bedside lamps. One has insulation tape on wiring and the other one switch his broken exposing metal parts that can shock a person. The furniture on the balcony has screw-heads that extrude and after sitting for 5 minutes they start to hurt.
Leaks, just lacks aircon or something. Very hot there. Owners are very helpful and friendly. And very safe.
Location is very comfortable and close to beaches and shopping centers. If I can make a suggestion, please get card facility on site.

The run around with the Wi-Fi was really not necessary. That must be up to standard before the guests arrive or a back-up plan. The mat was really not that clean. Can we get at least a bigger TV. The shower in the room downstairs did not have a ledge to put my soaps and shower gel.

The accommodation was great but getting there was a bit of a challenge due to all of the turns. That shouldn't be a deterrent though.

The room we were given felt like a servants quarters that they turned into an extra room to make more money. It was not overlooking the beach as stated online and in the prior communication. The room was behind the house and the view was of their wall and stuff they had covered with a sail. The WiFi was restricted which was frustrating and we did not have secure parking for the vehicle. We asked if we could park inside and were told by the owner that she would move her car and allow us to park in her spot. This seemed to be an inconvenience. Was not a relaxing stay. However it was clean and the water was hot.
My husbands stay in this accommodation was amazing. The host was very accommodating and very easy going. We will definitely book here again. The rooms are beautiful and so refreshing. We will definitely recommend this accommodation to others.

We will definitely stay at Silver Tides again. The beach and swimming pool is just across from the establishment. Deon and Megan was very helpful, especially with assisting with directions, and friendly. Apart from the fact that the people next to us were very noisy early in the morning, we had a good stay and we'll recommend it any time.
I will definitely not be staying at Silver Tides again. They did not inform us then they offer WiFi. The bathroom is terribly small. The owner did not feel friendly. There was no communication from the owner other than the arrangements made for parking, it felt like we were invading their privacy. They only talked for half a minute and that was it!
