The stay was fantastic! The view and silence are so wonderful and necessary for complete rest. There is everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hostess' service and friendliness is excellent!
Most enjoyable in every way, the cottage was very comfortable and well appointed, and the host could not have been kinder.
This is our second visit to Liza's place and it certainly won't be our last. Her place is spacious, super well equipped, very comfortable, and has a most spectacular view of the mountains. It is a place of ultimate relaxation and recharging one's batteries. There is a very inviting plunge pool just outside the place and an excellent outside braai with unlimited wood. Thank you Liza for a very nice stay and the very tasty grapes you gave us upon departure.
Really gorgeous place. The photos do not do it any justice. Fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. Felt like home away from home. A pity about the rain though, which can't be controlled. So we had such a relaxing weekend that I think both my fiance and I both needed. Homer, our furbaby, loved it there. Wondering around and just being free to roam. We were supplied ample wood, rusks, bottled water, and milk, coffee, teas, you name it. Pity we didn't get to use the hot tub because of the rain. So it's definite that we will be going back.
What a surprise! The cottage is very well located and has a wonderful view. Everything you could need is there and lovely clean. Lize is a wonderful hostess. There is the opportunity to quietly ride a mountain bike on the farm roads. View, view! The mountains and vineyards around you are enough to make you want to stay there. Would definitely recommend.

Cypreslaan met all our expectations and more. The area offers outdoor activities such as walking and cycling, or just sitting quietly and enjoying the surroundings with Towerkop almost on your doorstep. The cottage has everything one needs to make a getaway comfortable. We can confidently recommend Cypreslaan Guest House.
My wife had to choose between Sipreslaan Guest House or accommodation near De Rust. Fortunately, her choice was 100% right. The surroundings are beautiful, peaceful farm atmosphere and surrounded by vineyards. The chalet was spotless and Liza went out of her way to make us feel welcome, 10/10 for her. Will be holidaying at Cypreslaan again and I highly recommend it. Value for money.

Experiencing pressure from work, being a mother etc. The environment did wonders for my mental state and body. My little girl was able to play outside and explore. The hot tub was a bonus! The environment is peaceful and fresh! I was sad to return to reality.
We really could not have asked or more. We had the most enjoyable and comfortable stay. Comfortable beds, comfortable seating inside and out, plenty of tea, coffee and even rusks. Everything was thought of. We also enjoyed our farm stroll.

Stayed there for a weekend. Although located on a working farm, it is quiet and private. We were able to relax and enjoy the view and amenities.
Our visit at Cypreslaan was probably one of the most enjoyable yet! Everything is perfect - from the reception by friendly Liza, the beautiful, neat and clean cottage and incredible location! Everything in the cottage has been carefully selected with the finest detail, nothing short! Our kiddies enjoyed every moment between the hot tub and the lockers! Visit Cypres Avenue for the best getaway!

Friendly reception by owner. The home is very private and comfortable. If a Gautenger had the privilege to make a fire and barbecue with old vine sticks. Will definitely come again and stay longer than just 1 night.
We had a great time and will definitely go back. I haven't rested so well in one place for a long time. Everything was just absolutely fantastic! The cottage really has everything you need, I was particularly impressed with the Victorinox knives and the braai facilities were really excellent. We slept well and really enjoyed the jacuzzi. The view and the silence were so good for us.

Cypreslaan is a very neat, fully enclosed detached unit. They refilled the wood every day and everyone was very friendly. With a picture-perfect view of Towerkop and the silence of nature.

Going to this part of our country during harvest season is quite something special. Obviously it is hot but worth it. If you are a enthusiastic hiker you have a lot of options. All people you meet are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The house is very comfortable and to have a braai and just absorb the night sky over a glass of wine is fantastic.
Cypreslaan is perfect for switching off and appreciating nature. The unit is practically laid out, well equipped and clean. The fact that it is animal friendly is a bonus.
Technology has made it possible to drive to the unit. It is a spacious unit and very stylishly decorated. Everything you need was there to make your stay as pleasant as possible, with a wonderful view of the vineyard and the mountain. There is also a delicious outdoor braai if you would like to braai outside. I felt very safe while staying there. I would love to stay there again and then also just want to find out more about the wine estate of the area. However, this will only happen if one stays there for a longer period of time.

Lisa is a very friendly and considerate hostess. She reaches out to you and you never have to wonder how things work. I will definitely stay there again. It is self-catering but she has taken care of all the essentials such as coffee, biscuits and even spray and cook. Nicely furnished and very clean. Safe environment which is important for me coming from Gauteng. Had a wonderful weekend and can recommend Cypreslaan.
Cypreslaan Self-Sorg Guest House offers everything for a weekend getaway. Accommodation is excellently equipped with all kitchen and braai facilities with extra treats from biscuits to playing cards. The blankets were an extra cozy treat for an extra cold night (which hit us). May the standard of everything be preserved over time, because the guest house with everything inside is brand new. Liza's neighbor Ian was a great help with lots of hospitality during this time. Congratulations to Liza and her husband.
