The self-contained Pumphouse Cottage boasts vineyard and mountain views and a private courtyard with Hot Tub and braai facilities. The cottage also features a private jetty overlooking the farm dam and an indoor pot belly fireplace for cooler evenings.
The Villa is available on an exclusive self-catering basis for the entire unit. The Villa comprises an open-plan kitchen and a living area. The living area features a TV with selected DStv channels, and an indoor fireplace, and overlooks the pool, surrounding lawns, and vineyards. Outside there is a braai area and pizza oven, with an outside table for al fresco dining and spectacular sunsets.
South Hill is located within the wine region, most wine farms are open 5 days a week for wine tasting. For the more adventurous, enjoy paddling on the farm dam or take a hike through the South Hill Vineyards. Guests are required to bring their own kayaks or stand-up paddleboards if they wish.

The road up to the farm is obviously not ideal, but then it is farmlands so I can't really complain about that too much. I was quite disappointed that my specific room being the cellar suite has absolutely no internet connectivity. You have to go outside into the garden to find some signal. Even the guest WiFi was of no use. Then I realise our family of 3 were the only ones staying so the kitchen didn't open. I would have liked to have known that before our stay. There were several guests arriving on the day that we left and all the effort seemed aimed at them, the kitchen would be open and the pool lounge chairs had been taken out and set next to the pool whereas for us it didn't seem to be a priority? But to end I have to say the staff were all wonderful and friendly. I am sure we would go back again at some point.
It's a wonderful place for a getaway.
