We have stayed at the accommodation a few times now and each time the extraordinary high standards of the accommodation are identical. The hosts are fabulous and the accommodation will remain our accommodation of choice on the North Coast.

The beautiful little cottage was clean, neat and well-equipped with everything you could possibly need. The hosts are amazing, so helpful, friendly and kind. Went out of their way to accommodate me. Awesome shower pressure and the cottage was well prepared for loadshedding. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it!

"The best East Coast experience."

This was honestly the safest, cleanest and cosiest place away from home. We felt safe with our 14-month-old daughter and had all the amenities available for self-service (and we were spoiled by the owners with coffee, sugar and other condiments). The entire experience was lovely, in a gorgeous area. We enjoyed our guesthouse almost more than some of the various beaches that were actually very dirty (compared to the Garden Route). At least Umdloti and Ballito were cleaner than other Durban beaches. But besides that, the outdoor activities were splendid and there was even a forest hike that the guest house owners advised us on. Such lovely advice, since we were clueless on what to do some days (first East Coast holiday in easily 20 years!). It was an absolute pleasure staying with Spindrift Guest House, we will be doing it again! Thank you, dear Judy!

Lovely self-catering unit with everything needed and more. The unit is very neat and stylish. I forgot my phone charger there and Judy notified me the same day and I was able to call a courier to pick it up.

The self-catering apartment was fully equipped with good quality items. Spindrift is excellent by any standard. I would recommend it to my most fussy friends and family.

We stayed in the Kingfisher unit. Lovely stoep and braai facilities. Nice to sit and watch the finches that nest right in front of you. Lots of monkeys too, but we never caught them in the house. I guess one should just close the windows when one leaves the place for the day. Well-equipped kitchen with a window by the sink that can slide open and provides a nice breeze and nice view while washing dishes. We didn't need to buy any cleaning products on cloths/dishcloths and had everything needed to make nice breakfast and dinner. Nice, big windows on both sides of the kitchen that make for a nice, free holiday feeling! Television with DStv and comfortable couches as well as WiFi. There is a beam with an alarm for the patio door, but we felt very safe. We stayed there for 4 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. This is the perfect holiday home at an unbeatable price. The place was very clean and tidy and they came to clean every day and changed the bathroom mats, swept the whole place, emptied the ash bins, made the beds that hadn't been made yet and washed the dishes. I was surprised at this type of service at a self-catering unit. What makes this place ideal is its location. It is a few meters from the beach. We frolicked in the sea all day. Umdloti can get very busy at weekends and peak times and people sometimes struggle to find parking, but if you stay at Spindrift this is not a problem. There may be places that are closer to the beach, but you will either have to pay a lot more or get less value for your money because the other places that fall more or less in the same price range are smaller than Spindrift. I highly recommend this place to stay. I will stay there every time!

"Everything you need for a nice holiday by the sea."

We stayed in the Kingfisher Family Unit. It is beautifully furnished and comfortable with everything you could possibly need for a family holiday. Very clean and homey. Spend time outside on the porch, barbeque and look out for dolphins in the sea and birds in the trees. We love walking and walked the 200 m down to the beach and long walks by the sea, and would like to go for a walk in the forest next time. The local Spar and Farm-to-Fork at the Total Garage have a good variety of food. Judy and Pat are wonderful hosts.

"Our favorite vacation spot!"

Spindrift is probably our favorite vacation spot ever! This experience in Kingfisher was heavenly! This was our third time at the guest house, but previous times we were in the lower unit, Lourie. We felt like we were on a tropical island with that superb view of the ocean! We hope to be able to return here many more in the future! It's definitely our idea of an idyllic break and break from the city!
