We slept very well, close to everything and very safe accommodation.
We had a wonderful stay at Springtide Studios! The units are fully equipped with everything you need, so it's perfect for a long or short-term stay. Our unit was super clean, modern, bright, airy, and so very relaxing. The area is very quiet and beautiful, and we felt safe. We will definitely stay here again if we ever come to East London.
Springtide was fresh, convenient and comfortable. The hostess was so helpful and friendly and she didn't moan that I arrived slightly after hours. I was given a very clear intro and summary of things to know. Super stay. Thank you, a real lekke slaap!
After a long day's travel, it was good to arrive at such a lovely place. It really lifted our spirits.
The kitchen has everything you need and is in a good condition. The smart TV with guest login and electricity despite loadshedding are very welcome additions. This is my first go-to if I know a trip to East London is coming up.
Hostess was very nice.
I would really like to mention that they put out a container of coffee, sugar and tea for you, with fresh milk in the fridge. This is a big plus for us. My husband is very fond of coffee. So it's so convenient, because now you don't even have to drive to the shops for coffee, sugar and milk. Thank you so much for that nice gesture.

Lovely apartment, clean and modern and bright. Very nicely furnished and decorated. Close to the beach and the river and near to shops. Lots of parking for our two vehicles. Very safe neighbourhood and we felt very secure and safe on the premises.

Very well furnished. If I have to say something, it's that the fridge didn't smell so good, but really, it's now to complain with the white bread under the arm. We still had a great time! Will come again!
We had an issue with the electricity on some lights and this was attended to immediately, even on a holiday.
Upon arrival, I was met by a friendly staff member, Virginia. I was shown my room and informed of all the facilities that were available. A very pleasant stay in a well equipped and clean apartment.
We didn't spend too much time at the accommodation. Joy was excellent at communication. At the time of booking, we didn't realise that the units were so close to each other, and it was a bit noisy at times. This is an ideal spot to book a family stay for more than 10 people.
Absolutely value for money. Very neat, spacious and well equipped. Would suggest they look into a larger fridge and freezer. Little space.
The downstairs showers is atrocious, sprays everywhere. Stood outside for a while at the address where I was directed to get the keys from. Called the number I was supplied and was given another number which was unanswered. Eventually wandered to the side of the house and rang the bell and the welcome I received was subpar at best as I was made to wait outside still while they got the key to the place I booked. The only saving grace really was Mam’ Virginia who clearly knows what hospitality means. The place itself is beautiful though.
Springtide Studios has become my go to when on business in East London. I love the flow and space offered with a seperate lounge, fully kitted kitchen with room to work and the option to braai. Also with lots of good restaurants close by, the beach just down the road, you can't go wrong.

Not worth the money: No bath in our unit as advertised. Very small (okay for overnight stay but not a couple of days with kids). Bed in main bedroom's mattress laid through. Bedding old and stained. Curtains torn. Does not feel loved.

It's a beautiful place and is equipped with all the things you need to have a comfortable stay. I traveled alone but if I was in a group it will be better to book the whole place. Because of the setup it's easy to disturb other guests if you decide to swim or chill outside. The throw on the bed was a bit dirty as well as the scatter cushions on the bed. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay.

The only thing that was surprising was that there was no salt or pepper in the kitchen. There was only soap in the downstairs shower, no soap in the upstairs bathroom.

Very close to the beautiful Nahoon beach. Feel free to look for the lovely wooden paths that climb up the rocks. Fantastic views and great exercise. The studio was very comfortably furnished and cleaned daily. SPAR tasty close by for quick lunch or dinner. I will go back to Springtide Studios again and again! My son attended a tennis tournament in East London. This was the perfect base with 2 comfortable rooms as well as 2 bathrooms. It's close to Nahoonstrand as well as delicious places to eat. The area feels very safe.

The apartment looked good on the surface, but in the master bedroom the main light did not work. The kitchen door could only be locked from the outside and had to go around to get back into the house. The bathroom and rooms were definitely not clean. One could see the dirt on the tiles in the shower and the shower door is old and impractical to use. My husband's feet and hands itched from sleeping in the bed, don't know if there are bed bugs in the bed. We didn't even stay the full 3 days we booked. I would not recommend staying there.

I had a nice stay at Springtide Studios. Joy was very welcoming and the studio was clean and well equipped.
2018 I really had no complaints, and since we are an easygoing family, you overlook small things, but the next person may not. 2019 however I feel, although I always wash the kitchen things before I use them, this time it was full of dust, you could tell the unit was not dusted. A suggestion especially in summer, maybe a fan in lower room, upper room however equipped with air rail.
Springtide Studios was my second last stop for our journey back home. However upon viewing I was disappointed with the overall appearance of the place. Tiny being the key word. We had to take two studios to accommodate my family of 6. The 2 sleeper had a room light that wasn't working. At least the washing machine in this unit worked. Whilst the other 4 sleeper unit had a washing machine that was not functioning or even connected. Very basic accommodation for those just seeking a good night rest.
So glad I found this little gem in East London. Loved everything about it. Real cosy with everything you need.

We really enjoy our stay due to the fact that we were aware of no noise, but the people who stayed in Studio 5 made a lot of noise. But otherwise we were very happy and obeyed the rules.
Although the place is in a residential area, it is walking distance to the nearest beach. The studio is very comfortable and lacks nothing. There is even a splash pool, but unfortunately it was just too cold for swimming.

Location of the studio is perfect. We enjoyed the pool on the windy days. There is plenty of secure parking and our units were very comfortable and well equipped. Joy is an excellent hostess. She was extremely helpful and also made recommendations for destinations we could visit and also helped recommend a doctor for an emergency. Virginia and her team were very helpful, friendly and thorough. Suggestions: In the bedrooms a long mirror for us ladies. Awnings for the cars for the hot days. For a 16 day holiday we felt the bar fridge was not sufficient. We would recommend it anytime!

My folks and I were doing a road trip from Cape Town to Durban and our stop over was at Springtide Studios, the Monday going and the Friday coming back. Both units, double story, were beautifully decorated and fully equipped and neat. My folks loved the place. The only suggestion that I have is that the downstairs bedroom should have a fan or air conditioner. The room gets very hot. But all in all a lovely place.

Joy is an excellent hostess. She was very helpful and even made recommendations for places we could visit. In one of the units it looked like the fridge didn't work 100% and it was immediately replaced by a brand new one the next day. We were pleasantly surprised with very friendly staff that came to clean the units every morning. I would recommend Springtide Studios to anyone who travels and goes on holiday in groups, but also like the privacy of their own unit at the same time. We were 6 people who easily fit in one unit's lounge, and we could eat together and cook and play boardgames, but could sleep in total privacy. We will go back again any day.
Loved the location and the studio. We enjoyed the swimming pool on the windy days. Will definitely visit Springtide again. The lagoon is such a lovely place for the kids to play and explore. On windy days we also had wonderful days at the lagoon. Nahoon has got no traffic and is the right kind of place to go if you need to get away from the hustle and bustle. We loved Nahoon and Springtide is the perfect place to stay.
Really enjoyed the stay in a neat unit (2). Close to everything (athletics stadium, swimming pool) and shops. I think a queen-sized bed in the main bedroom might help. A double bed for two people is a bit small and there is enough room.

Springtide Studios is conveniently located near a beautiful, clean beach and all kinds of other facilities that one might need during your vacation. The units are neat and very well equipped. The children thoroughly enjoyed the pool. The manager of the "studios" was very helpful and the cleaning staff were very friendly and thorough. We would recommend it anytime!

Springtide Studios met all our needs. The place looks like the pictures. Joy was very helpful. The unit was always very clean and safe. The beach is driving distance (<5 mins) from Springtide Studios.
As Freestaters who love to grill, we thought the gas grill would be an adjustment, but it ended up being a nice challenge. We will definitely use Springtide Studios again in the future.
All that is really lacking are carports for the cars.
The studios are located in a good neighborhood and it is very quiet there.
The accommodation was of high quality and the people were friendly and helpful.
