The house is surrounded by beautiful wheat fields. We were well received by Marlene and our only complaint was the TV without DStv, whose reception was weak. There was enough coffee, tea and biscuits and even milk in the fridge and 2 waters. Thank you very much we had a great time.
Conveniently close to De Hoop Nature Reserve if more affordable accommodation is preferred. Neat farming with modern machinery. Lots of birds to see.

Accommodation is value for money. People are very friendly. However, the dirt road there is a problem and should be mentioned in the description.
Beautiful, neat and "cozy" place. Ideal for getting away from busy and demanding city life or even just needing to discover new surroundings. Standakkie does your soul a lot of good with the surrounding beautiful fields full of flowering canola and green pastures. Fresh air and ideal jogging and cycling area. Very friendly and helpful hostess! Highly recommended! Thank you very much, we really enjoyed our visit!
As an old 'plaasjapie' it was nice to experience the atmosphere again. Friendly reception and everything was 100% for our overnight stay.
The hostess was excellent and made us feel right at home. Had a wonderful sleep in the neat little house. Was spoiled with delicious biscuits and complimentary bottle of wine. Would recommend anytime.
Staandakkie was a wonderful, wholesome experience and I will definitely go there again.
