The only problem is that the upper floors and the braai place are a bit far from each other, but with a little better planning you can make it work. As one gets older, this may become a problem. The house is super comfortable and beautifully decorated with everything you can think of. This is definitely a return option on our holiday destination list. The house is comfortable and unfussy. We loved sitting on the verandah watching the birds, especially the loeries. It is only a few minutes walk to the beach and to the little shop and restaurant so it's very conveniently situated. The beds were comfortable and warm. The kitchen had all the essentials. We had a 2 year old with us, so did keep an eye on the stairs, but it was not a problem for us at all. The back garden is enclosed so is safe for playing in too. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again.
House well located for walking to the beach and to the shop and restaurant. Upper porch deck with chairs and day bed is a hit. The birds frolic at the bird feeder and sugar beaks visit the water bottle regularly. Nice barbecue place. The kitchen, dining room and living area are on the first floor, which necessitates carrying up and down food and eating to the braai area. WiFi is an asset for work that needs to happen in between. Washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher work great, especially for a 2 week visit.
A lovely place to stay. Loved the rustic feel of the cabin-style house while enjoying all comforts and amenities. Loved the resident Knysna-Loerie that visited every morning.
Stok & Hoed is beautifully hidden in the heart of the Tsitsikamma woods and sea. The accommodation is neat, clean and homely. You feel at home the moment you walk through the door. Welcome visitors such as ibex and lories unexpectedly enrich the experience. We will keep going back.

We had a great time relaxing. It's not often that you get more than you bargained for, but the holiday home was fantastic.

Everything was spotless and tasteful in simplicity. The porch between the trees offers rare interaction with loeries and other feathered visitors. We have come to make precious family memories that will last a lifetime.

A nice big house with lots of sleeping space and a nice outdoor boma. Well located for walkers, apart from the Otter there are many more nice walking routes in the area.
The house was generally clean, but here and there a cobweb and some cupboards were dusty. The kitchen is small, but has enough equipment (apart from plastic bowls) which in our experience is not the rule in rental houses. There is nice, very hot water. The house is cold in winter, we took extra heaters which solved the problem. The doors on the 2nd floor are not very secure, but crime in the area seems to be rare.
Very nice stay with everything needed and more. It's a very large house and plot, I also had a boat so there was more than enough space to park after the house was also very spacious. What I like about the house is that it is a very comfortable holiday home and is very practical.
