Comfortable place to stay. Not ideal if you have a big car for parking off the street. It had what we needed otherwise.
Unit was nice clean and well equipped, unfortunately couldn't see sea but knew that in advance. Wifi password word was not available and had to request it. Was there with 2 vehicles and had to pay for parking in sun for 2nd vehicle. A cleaning fee of R250 was added to quote which was not mentioned in overview of stay. Room and kitchen have shuttered windows and even though all are closed the wind makes a whistling sound all the time, also through the corridor door. Parking spaces in front of available garage's turning space are too small for larger vehicles. Therefore, our vehicle stood outside in the sun and the 2nd vehicle 1 night in the garage. Read under reviews another vehicle had to stand outside due to space. Nevertheless, we had a good time and enjoyed the weekend together as a family.

Was welcomed by Deon on Thursday afternoon who didn't have to do anything to impress - because everything was well organized and in place. Still, he went the extra mile directing me to my location, even searching the web just so that I was able to access the closest ATM. He was always available to answer questions that popped up. Hats off to excellent service.

Just to escape from the usual weekend routine and busy work life, Strandsig provided us as a family with a neat resting place and tranquility. It's close to the beach and shops with secure parking and in and out of the block of flats.
We really needed a break, and compared to what all the other places were asking for, we were pleasantly surprised with the apartment. It was clean and modern and close to the beach, where we could only go for long walks.
We drive a Ford Cruiser and this had to be parked outside overnight due to too small parking and had to switch back and forth for parking in a safe place.
It was neat and tidy. We loved the space and view from the balcony!
If there was anything I was concerned about, it was security. The block of flats is secure but the unit itself doesn't have much security - basically just a "jail lock" against the surrounding flats which all have security gates.

Strandsig 407 is a great option if you are looking for accommodation for a period of time. It's neat and comfortable and the owners are friendly and helpful.

We had a warm hearty welcome, the place is very upmarket and situated close to everything, should you require something. The building itself very clean,safe and well looked after.
Building is safe, quiet, close to shops, restaurants and of course beach. It's clean and well appointed, but I missed mats to protect the table from hot bowls, and more serving spoons. There are also only 4 coffee cups and 2 cups and saucers if you have guests for coffee you will have to make a plan. But especially the latter are not serious complaints. I feel more strongly about protecting the table: If the table is damaged, I might be held responsible for it. And I wouldn't like it if my furniture got damaged, so I take precautions. Please, it's not a criticism, it's because I appreciate the cleanliness and have a B&B myself, and see what damage guests can cause even if you have provided protection measures! However, I mentioned this to Deon in a personal email.
We enjoyed the time there a lot. The unit is spacious, clean, neat, beautiful, and everything you need is there in the kitchen. The only thing missing was a table outside on the stoep with chairs at the braai. We braai'd every night and it was difficult to move a chair to the door every time to visit. That's the only thing that was lacking. Beyond that, we will definitely visit again.
Everything was very neat. We received good information, although the operation of the entrance gate to the parking area is a bit of a problem with specific reference to the traffic light and mirror.
Provision for lifts and light during power outages has been made by the owners. Security is very good. Garage parking was an added bonus. A little far (20 min walk on the beach) from the main swimming beach but then again very conveniently close to the shops and places to eat.

The place is spacious and everything we needed was there and there was even a garage for our car. It is so conveniently located and you can just walk out the front door and you are at the sea, in the town centre, at the fish and chip place, etc. that you can really just take a vacation. We will definitely use this place again.
Not worth money paid for the place.
We had a great stay at Strandsig, Antoinette met us in the lobby on time with the keys and even showed us the place and how everything works, very friendly and professional. We stayed on the fourth floor and even though the place does not have a sea view (you can only see a bit of the sea through the buildings) the apartment block is located directly opposite the beach. It was adequate with everything we needed and very comfortable. The wind was very bad so we couldn't sleep in the one room because the wind was singing terribly around the corners but luckily there was a sofa bed that we could set up to sleep on. All-in-all we had a very nice time and many nice places to see near the beach.
Very nice place with 2 bedrooms for 2 couples, parents with 2 children or just a couple alone. View of the Beach community very nice especially in the evening. You don't need to bring anything except food and beach towels. Located near everything. Will see me again in February for sure.

Disappointing view. Looks out on 3 neglected houses where homeless people stay. In the morning there is only a rotten smell of diesel and urine in stead of a fresh sea breeze.

The apatment was clean, comfy and great location. But I think the R800 cash they demand when you arrive for possible breakages (repayed without banking charges into our account admittedly) is preposterous and unwelcome. I've stayed at other apartments without paying additional amounts.
Neat home. Requires R500 deposit which is then only transferred back into your account a week later.
Although the apartment is clean, there is a worst smell in the second bathroom. The apartment is well located, but the fact that there is no sea view bothers me. Hobos sleep at the back of the building and also scratch in the litter bins. They also make a lot of noise and use bad language. Before our arrival I paid the full stay as the owners can only accept cash on reception. However, basically just before arrival, the owners let me know that there is still an outstanding amount that is payable in cash. Since I was already on vacation, it was very difficult to provide them with the proof of payment (which I had already mailed to the owners) again. A R800 deposit is also payable. After a week of departure, the owner informed me that there was a scratch in the sink and that the deposit was going to be withheld as well as claiming further damages. I think the scratch mark was there before we arrived. However, I cannot prove it. The owner informed me of the damage a week after departure and after other guests had rented the apartment. I therefore suggest that you take photos of any potential mistakes upon arrival, otherwise the owner may recover them from you and perhaps threaten you with legal action as in my case.

The apartment is very convenient and can actually accommodate 4 adults and 2 children. The photos on the internet are incorrect. The location is ideal and close to shops, wine routes and perfect for people who like spending time on the beach.

Nice clean and comfortable place.
First, we were not happy to wait an hour and a half to check in. The apartment is neat and comfortable. The area is deteriorating. Walls that look like haunted houses. The neighbors behind the apartment worked on a car all weekend and "ref-ref". The vendors who stand in front of the beach front walk past the apartment morning and evening with their trolleys full of stock. Shouting and fighting. When you go out the front of the main exit you walk through a long line of people waiting for Kentuckey, and beggars. Our suggestion for Strand Municipality is to go and see what Mossel Bay has done. If all the hawkers are in a secure building that is closed at night, the beach will be open for people to enjoy and at least be able to see the sea. It is also funny that licenses are issued to the sellers that almost all sell the same stuff. It's time for all the governing bodies and owners of the beachfront to come together and do something constructive about one of the most beautiful views in the Cape.
